Hi, I have a CB900 Honda Hornet and find that the + pole (red) is very hard to reach for my charger. Do I really need to lift the tank to do this?
Thanks

Are you needing to charge it that often? Perhaps time for a new battery. Otherwise have you thought of fitting an extra wire to it and tucking it in, that you can use for attaching the charger to?

Hi friend, I let it drain over the last few months....... Will attach a plug for a dripcharger now. But how to access the damned red pole? Do I have to lift the tank ?
Cheers

It is much easier to just take off the right side cover, take off the retaining rubber band around the battery.
Then remove the black wire and then ease the battery out until you can access the positive terminal. Yes, it is a pain in the arse, yes, your clock will reset.
Sometimes the quick way is to do it the proper way! :pinch:

x2 of what GIJoe said, no need to remove the tank but you should disconnect from the bikes electrics so you don't risk frying them. The battery really is in a stupid annoying place though!
