one of my clickers on the rebound wont go in as far as the other one, it tightens up.
also my standard oil levels seem to be wrong, i have a K1 GSXR1000 and now she rides way to hard with 2.5 wight oil (517mls)

Someone has refitted the fork caps incorrectly.
The K1/2 1000s have bloody aweful stock valving, too. The rebound needles are basically an on/off switch, and the compression pistons have extremely small transfer ports.
PM Robert, he has lots of knowledge on them, and some good reasonably priced solutions to your problem

Pussy is dead right and he used to own one so knows firsthand what they are like stock and then modified. The compression pistons are terrible and no amount of external adjustment is going to fix it. We can either replace them or if you are on a budget modify them and fit rebound needles that will give a decent modulation range.

so how should the fork caps be correctly installed?
how much for rebound needles?

PM me for prices. The jam nuts underneath the fork caps should be set so that you have 15 available clicks of rebound. With that very thin oil you have installed you will have to have the rebound so far in that it will introduce further harshness on compression. there is cross flow on both rebound and compression through the rebound bypass bleed passage. the cartridges have to come apart to fix it all properly.
