#49 lives to be ridden again!

Well it is almost there. It needs a few things still but is mostly done.. kinda. I just need to mount the front disc and bolt the caliper on (all easy and ready to be done) and I need to modify the rear caliper mount with some aluminium welding to get the rear caliper on to the disc. That shouldn't be too hard either.

I also need to get my slicks put on the bike and then modify the front suspension. Then I need to put my newly aquired skateboard wheels on the handlebars and the swingarm. After that I mount the newly aquired race fairing (once it has been painted of course) and mount the tank (after that has been painted too and new mounts made for it).

Then...... I thrash the hell out of it.

Jealous much? That thing is raw speed. Raw sex appeal. I told Kyle not to take too many photos of the back of it because I know how sick of it you are all gonna get. .. . :bleh:

I WILL be at the next bucket meeting, it is fully nyloned up and good to race. Just getting the slicks on it on Monday and adjusting forks tomorrow (I have the oil and spacers). I have worked hard as hell on this bike, and some friends have worked hard on it too. It will be up to a high standard for scrutineering I believe.

I like the size of that garage and I see the bucket spanner (crescent) on the ground good size for any bucket adjustment

I just took my finished bucket out for a damn good thrashing! It feels pretty friggin' good! But I will have to find out when I get on the track.

One question though... once a gear has been revved out (any gear) and then you button off the throttle and start braking, is it harmful to have a bit off crackle coming from the exhaust and followed by a backfire? This is happening to me most times I do this. Sounds awesome if you ask me but I am not sure of the science behind it and if my motor is telling me something is not right.

Cheers guys, I should see you all tomorrow with my bucket! It is fully nyloned and the tank has been well bolted in and with rubber mounts to keep it balanced. Oh and painted..

you'll probably just find that you have a air leak in your welding when you've moved your muffler, which lets oxygen into the exhaust system and lets the unburnt fuel when you shut the throttle ignite.
