Hi All :spudwave:
How many people would be happy with Subways food at the track? I have talked to the staff from the Taupo shop but am yet to talk to the manager. But could you please comment here so I know if it is worth setting-up. How's this:
One of their staff comes down to the track mid morning and takes order and money. Comes back at 12.30ish and gives the orders out.
It is good food and a foot long is a great feed. Around $6.00 for a six inch and say $9 for a foot long. I will get the prices when I speak with the manager but I need to know if people would be happy with this food. Plus drinks
Please reply ASAP here so I can sort this out. Thanks

I've asked and a couple of good type KB ers have offered barbys but nooone has put their hand up to do the cooking etc.
Subway sounds like a fantastic idea to me for lunch.
I just realised--DUUUU its gonna be getting dark around 6.30
Maybee we could do subway lunch then a saussie sizzle and beer /oj etc at the end of the day.
either way the track is a bit of a ways from town -(10minutes round trip) so food on site is definitely the way to go.

:2thumbsup All sorted people. I have spoken to Frosty and Taupo Subway's. I will post a new message when I have the menus and price list. A rep from Subways will come to the track around 10.30 and take orders. You will have to pay then. They will have a choice of drinks as well. I assume we can make hot drinks at the track. We may have to red flag the track session that is on at that time and give people the option to order or go on riding. That is up to Frosty.
The food will be delivered to the track at 12.30 ish.
So till I have more detail that's lunch for the day. To the people that do not want Subways I apologise but I can not please everyone. If you want to organise somethin else that good.
Till later.

If someone can bring a barbie, I'm sure it would get used.
I'm keen for a Sub though. (as well)

*Thinks*
Hang on - Who gets all the stamps?
I volunteer to be the runner for Subway!
(haha! They will never notice!)

Would be easy enough to have a checklist printed off for each person for contents of Sub (sure subway wouldn't mind with $500+ of business) and that way they wouldn't come and take orders at 10, they would just come and pick up the checklists and money.

Only problem is if they put ranch dressing in my Sub who do I scream at.... HEADS WILL ROLL!

and i can bring a little camp stove, good enough for 1 pan for those who want to bring a few sausages themselves (I just might have both ;))

Yep I will do somethin like this. I am waiting to see what menu they send down. I will need to put it in to digital format and then see what will work. I hope to have it at the track when people arrive but who knows. It will work out. Cheers and thanks for the ideas.

PMSL..... just bring ya own backpack FULL of food just for you...
since you are a growing boy....
With all that food inside you and then carrying all that extra weight on the bike, the others will have a great chance of passing you on the straights....lol.

Thanks for that. I can work with that and I will see what we can do. I will check pricing and things with the Taupo shop. I hope to get everyone to log on and take a copy of whatever I get sorted. Fill it in and put it and the correct money in an envelope and drop it in the box at Singh in. Those who don't do that can fill one in at the track.
It is going to work ok and many thanks for your time and help. :niceone:

Hi All :2thumbsup
I have spoken to Subways in Taupo and it will be easier to take orders at the track. But in saying that if you can fill the paper forms in before you go to the track and then add drinks at the track it will speed up the ordering process. They will have a float for change etc.
If you want an order form and menu P/M me ( or get it from message above from Curious George ) with your Email address and I will forward one to you. It has the pricing for the food but not the drinks.

Tony will be at the track around 10.30 to take orders. Please pay then. Put your KB name and real name on the order form when paying.

Thanks Frosty but I was going to start another thread or P/M people because many people won't come back here to read it. People will work it out. :mobile: :niceone:

See you all at the track.

Yep that is the way. I always freeze a drink bottle of water the night before and it is good for the day. Anytime I ride I take water. I certainly agree with Frosty. Plenty of water will keep you going. And off set the price of fuel as it is free.................
