Hi guys

Just a friendly warning cops are out at the moment pulling up every biker they see at the moment, 2 of my workmates got pulled up after work yesterday and I got waved down to pull over :spanking: but I "didnt see him"

Both got told that at the moment in wellington they are targeting bikers because lots are riding with no wof/reg or no liscence.

I think that with the price of oil due to rise again (predicted $85 US a barrell) we will see more peeps turning away from cages to bikes.
So the cops will have to target bikes as it could be easy money to fund their revenue (slash fund).
Don't think it will be limited to just Welly

Went for a ride up the takas yesterday and got followed from Te Marua to the Kaitoke gardens. He didn't pull me up though, I just casually sat on about 100 (til he stopped and turned around :laugh:) then passed several coppers on my way home including a bike cop. They're out doing their jobs..... just hope they pick up some of the wanky driving out there too!

Sunny sunday up here a couple of weeks ago on SH16. Gently rolling into Kaukapakapa i see a bunch of patrol cars in the middle of the road, and a couple of bikes parked to the side.

My first thought was that someone on a bike had been collected and my heart sank.

Turns out 'twas a similar blitz to this. Looking at WOF, Rego, and licences.
So yeah, they is out and about.

Was out for a tutu on wed, pulled up next to a bike cop at the lights heading up to the police college and had a quick chat, then got tangled in a warrant check a bit further up with a good ten cops doin the full blitz and one just told me to carry on (after i told him i'd have to pull off the road for him to check mine)

It would be nice to see a few of the 50cc scooteristas who use the Auckland motorways, getting a chat. There has been a definate increase.

Sorry to burst ya bubble people but it's not just 2 wheels they after.......Tuesday bang on school time (3pm) they had a compulsary stop both sides of the road right outside a school(not very clever) then to catch the ones who thought "yeh they missed me" they were there again this time about 10am in the same place the next day, LOL

the fuzz have been outside Karori tunnel stopping people coming home from work before.

a while back on St Patrick's day as I was about to go get some food the neighbour came over and told me they're pulling bikers over...

some weeks later I saw they were pulling over every cyclist, probably for light
checks cause it was getting kinda dusky..

I got my warrant and rego up to date, though I'll don't want to get pinged for riding outside hours...

I got pulled up yesterday on my way home by a bike cop for a license and wof check. Commented my bike was a bit loud, my comment was that the vtnz testing station didn't think so two weeks ago. I put it down to jealousy, he must ride a bucket of crap and wanted to see a real bike up close.

Nah he was cool and a chatty wee thing too. Didn't really mind that much, I wasn't doing anything wrong. I was more blown away at getting pulled over at all.:Police:

Interesting , haven't come across them on my way home over happy valley road. Usually their will be a speed trap but no WOF etc. Perhaps lucky.
