My local branch of the Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club was invited to the motorcycle museum at 216 Lichfield Street, Christchurch last Friday night. The museum will finally close in 2 weeks time so get in while you can. Never have I seen so many bikes with no mileage on them and many still in their crates. Check out my review here at http://tomcc.co.nz/canterbury.htm

He is between Barbadoes and Fitzgerald Ave on the RHS. He has had a bit of trouble with the Red Tape etc to get this gem fully operational from what I understand. I don't have Johns phone number but he is there most days from mid morning including Saturdys.

Bloody Shame that the beaurocrats never got behind him as this is a great museum.

What the.... when did this open?

Man no wonder it's closing - no one knows about it - I'd be keen on a walk through.

I don't remember one poster in any local bike shops. :oi-grr:

I'd say its not actually open as in its a private colection, invite only kinda like Bill Richardsons rare truck collection.
Im on the case and will let ya all know if we can get a viewing.

anyone know were the large colection is out Rangeora way?

How long has it been in existance?
I lived in Chchur for x years and never heard of it.
While you are at it make sure you visit my favourite shop Fazzaz.

There's also a nice, small and private collection of very early Harleys at a nice chap's on Barrington, and some cool custom bikes at a mate's just south of Rolleston. Won't give any clues in case scumbags are reading. Just emphasises that there are some bloody nice examples of just about everything out there in NZ garages (sadly, mine's not one of them).

Is it closed already? Whats the opening hour? Visited a few days back and the door was locked.

I'm sure it was the right place...
