1987 bike for sale... never ridden.

This is a first for me seeing a bike that is literally in brand new condition because someone bought it and never rode it...

ever...

since 1987. How can you look at a bike and never want to ride it. I'm surprised one of the kids didn't take it for a blast when Dad was out.

Really? Are they collectors bikes or something? You'd get a much newer 250 for around the same price, and it'll probably have a similar amount of grunt due to newer technology.

Vintage Moto-x is going strong here and o-seas...with some bikes fetching crazy prices! While that Husky isn't a groundbreaking model etc...it's condition alone will (I think) help it fetch 5k easily.

How's this?? Far more sought after...but holy shit....12k us $'s!!

Not at all - the CZ is one of the most sort after '70's MX bikes,that'll be snapped up fast,from NZ or overseas.The Husky's are good specimens too.But the RD1 is the gem - man,I'd love to have that one.

Met a guy once who collected Honda 50's. Had 31 of them in his back garden - never ridden.
Mind you in the garden shed he had a MV750 AND an IOM TT Honda, just as Honda racing left it when they pulled out.

I also think it is a reasonable price,i have a 86 WR400 payed $4800 in 87,the new price back then was over $7000.
That bike would still be competitive in the right hands if you dared to use it.. imho.
Only thing better would a 430 Auto perhaps.

You could not restore a 400 for anything close to $5000 including purchase cost,pistons alone were over $350 a pop in the 1990's.

Of course the catch is once used it is just that.

The 450 Husky is nice (and would not say no ) but not as nice as a 1970 MH 400 what like Steve McQueen rode ehhh Mr Motu :laugh:

The thing with those motorcycles is they are only original once,they are like time warps now,the way they really were.

It could have been a present for someone and maybe they deid before they got it and its been kept for sentimentle reasons. Wouldnt be the first time something like this might happen aye
