Boys, this one is for you.

Is your wife bugging you, second guessing you, telling you how to ride, or even worse, telling you to get off your ass and help with the kids?

If you have any of these problems, then I have the solution for you.

Compassionate and practical, The Surrendered Wife is a step-by-step guide that teaches women how to:

* Give up unnecessary control and responsibility
* Express their needs while also respecting their husband's choices
* Resist the temptation to criticize, belittle or dismiss their husbands
* Trust their husbands in every aspect of marriage - from sexual to financial...and more.

The Surrendered Wife will show you how to transform a lonely marriage into a passionate union.

Surely the answer is as simple as getting the wife a gay male friend?

I thoroughly recommend this book! It is excellent...

...for lighting fires, putting under table legs to stop them wobbling, throwing at your husband when he's being an arse. The uses are endless, really.

Haha! You guys that think you get to just sit there while she tends to your every whim have got it wrong. You gotta get off your asses and go out and work. Saw a doco on this awhile ago - it's about a partnership not giving up power. If you have to decide who has the power in your relationship then you got it all wrong. And I aint no soft cock liberal either.

What a giggle!!

I saw a documentary on this a while ago. There was one woman who had to wear what her husband said, have sex when he wanted, and when she rode in the car with him, she actually wore a blindfold so she wouldn't belittle her husbands driving skills because she couldn't see what he was doing (and she really hated his driving).

So basically to be a surrendered wife, you have to give up all your own opinions and wants and do as your hubby says... yup crock of shit alright! Wouldnt it be easier and cheaper if guys just brought a blow up doll and hired a cleaner?

I think you're missing the point - this is a woman advocating giving away her power...

You might have picked up that I am a strong, and at times opinionated woman. I hate inequality and could even be called something of a feminist.

But I understand where this woman is coming from and actually agree with her. She is not advocating giving away her power at all, she is talking about giving up unnecessary control and responsibility, the emphasis here on unnecessary.

She is talking about being honest enough to tell your partner what you need and respecting him. Respect goes both ways.

You boys are, despite all the seemingly obvious macho aspects of testosterone, very soft creatures, you need to be told how wonderful you are, not constantly pulled up for being useless or what have you.

I have money on the fact that you are more likely to respond in a positive way to your wives/partners if you know she loves you and trusts you to take care of her. I can take care of myself if I have to, I prefer to know I have the love of a good man who will take care of me.

She is not talking about women turning into the ultimate kitchen/bedroom doormat here, she is talking about a somehow natural order of things that actually enriches relationships, not harms them.

EDIT: Of course though there will always be the total, arsehole, wanker, men that use this sort of thing to enslave their womanfolk to some sort or feudal existance. Not the message I am advocating at all. Opps, feminist rises to the surface :sunny:

In my case, I think I read the man's version of the book by mistake!

I sent it to my wife and she did it when she got home from work after I'd made her a coffee and checked the dinner I was cooking... I made sure I'd done the washing, made the bed, got the fire,(gas), going and tidied the house of course...

She scored 71...

Finally, a woman who gets it!

I could put you onto a few more....

Oh, different 'gets it', sorry.

Anyways, I've always found that the less pants involved the better the relationship. Which is ironic, coz the less pants, the MORE pants. Funny that.

I reckon the cleaner would do just fine. No need for the blow-up doll. (You know where this is heading, right?)

The cleaner has a hose, ok? It's got this sucking thing happening, ok? You place your thingy in the thingy, who needs a maid, who needs a missus? Two birds with one stone......
