Left the city via the main ramps at hobson/nelson this evening around 10.15pm. At the lights just before the ramp itself, I caught a glimpse of the bike cop in the far right hand lane, thought to myself, heh, he's enjoying this lovely winter weather as much as me
Took off down the ramp, didn't think much of it, until all of a sudden, he pulls alongside just after Khyber Pass :pinch: Looked at him, wondering if he was after me (I hadn't done anything, honest!). Guessing it was the same one, unless he had been waiting somewhere, but anyway, got a nod from him, gave him the thumbs up, and he sat just off my rear until I got off at SE Highway, when I gave him a friendly wave, and he carried on.
I guess he just wanted the company? There certainly weren't many bikes out (ok... there were two...us), either that or he was checking details. Or he fancied me or the Honda ;) either of which are equally scary  Although, at the risk of starting to make this sound gay ... I certainly want the toys all the cop bikes are rigged up with! :doobey:
So ambo bike boys... the bike cops are teh harder than you! (yes yes... I know, management makes the decisions. That either means the ambo bosses are pussies, or the cop bosses don't care about their bike boys :pinch:)

It was hardly bad rain tonight. It got a bit windy over the Harbour Bridge about 10pm but I rode home in my jeans and sneakers.
Last time I saw a bike cop in the rain he was parked up on the side of the motorway under a bridge.

:killingme... you know, he could have just finished with someone, or looking for someone to chat to ;)
Yeah, weather wasn't that bad at all. However, I was sitting on the speed limit, rather than like the cars, trundling at 80-90kph, so perhaps stood out? Perfectly safe in the areas I was doing it (he wasn't around when I slowed for the slippery bits of roads).

Meah, I've played with those toys... they're only fun for the first few minutes... next time, maybe the buggers will let me actually ride one! :niceone:

Hey Frosty, must catch up and show you the new look suspension on the beast.
And I don't think we'll be getting another toy for a while, the Boss has recently procured another ST1300, a former cop bike they used for evaluation, so it's got more toys than ours (twin sirens - WHEE!), just needs a slight change in the paintwork!

Well, now see, thats a serious worry... they were Warehouse yellow pants... so if I can pull off looking good in those :shit:
What was he/she riding?
Wow... I thought I made it obvious? A cop bike!! (no... I'm not saying any more, due to time of night etc I feel no need to identify the bikie any more)

I dunno... I'm finding my toys are fun for hours on end, and I only have GPS, radar and CB Radio. Now, add in the pretty lights, police/ambo radio, possible laser/radar guns etc... Pity it all comes in a rather large heavy package. Mine still weighs under 200kg dry, loves wheelies etc

Jesus let's hope Katman never gets a hold of this. You might get ex-communicated.

What the fuck are you on about?
I've never once had any comment to make about what people choose to wear.

I'm already outside the KB `inner circle' to begin with, as I don't wear a power-ranger suit and wheelie a GSXR1000 at 100mph along the Coro Loop :niceone:

It must be the season...
A cop bike was heading southbound on the Southern Motorway, and exited to Highbrook, just before midday today... in the rain...
