Looks like its shaping up to be another wet meeting from the long range forecast. Yay for slick tyres and surface water!

Seriously though, if its third wet round in a row this is getting a bit silly

Can we clarify what early means. Last time someone was there early and setting up tyres they were told to leave and come back later.

IMO that would be around 10.45-11.00am.
People tend to arrive a lot later than that, once the track has been set up of course !!

Not gonna make it I'm sorry. Got too many things that need attention at home.
Damn I hate priorities.

OK the BadAss #21 has reconditioned forks, stiffer rear suspension, new jetting, and fancy new airbox, so is ready to go... See ya all there round lunchtime :)

The fancy new rain-proof airbox courtesy of Garth's Kiwi ingenuity and a used bottle of Yamaha Carb Clean!

I will be there. Same bike as last time (haven't had time to do anything) except this time it should at least start.

I hope...

It looks like we might even have a "dry" meeting! Rain looks like it disappeared overnight :)

Definately a fun day, was interesting to race on a half wet track with goat crap and dirt! Overall I enjoyed it, but I won't make it next week to Kaitoke I am quite sure. Not enough money to fix up the damages, but I will be working on the bike to have it Kaitoke ready this week. I also have some tank camera footage that I will be biffing on youtube too if you want to check it out. Keep a look out on my account http://www.youtube.com/user/IPhantomLordI because you might be in it!

Hey all - great to catch you all for some Slip (n'slide) way action.

I was a bit more reserved with the camera snap action, so if you weren't tearing it up or falling on yo' asses, I may have missed you!

Anyway, here's some of the highlights:
1. "If you're happy and you know it pat your head..."
2. The face of grim determination
3. The face of fogged-up visors
4. The face of quiet confidence
5. The face only a mother could love :-P
6 "Clutch, brake, downchange... no wait, that's brake, clutch~dang, missed my brake marker!"

Awesome pics, thanks guys.

Great day and good turn out.
Track was a little damp and cold, making traction a little strained at times.
I got a few laps in myself, not as many as I'd liked as I had a wee "carburetion issue" with Lady P which was subsequently fixed....
Apart from that she ran really well, although my front end lock-up save was a heart-pounding experience !

Adrian got a couple of laps in on Lady P before laying her down on her side !! :bleh:

Good to see the spectators we had come out to watch and I spoke to a few of them telling them what Buckets are all about.

Yeah, good fun meet. Shame about the lack of grip. I'm getting better I didn't crash at all at the last race and I went down twice at this one so definite 200% improvement

That's taking 'all the gear all the time' to the extreme.
Nice race and funny crash at the end.

p.s. Never post race spoilers in threads that don't have *spoiler* in the title, that will piss a lot of people off.

p.p.s. It was a great race.
