I read in another post that MCC is allowing 250 twins to race in streetstock if yourve got a senior license....great idea I reckon!!:niceone:
Can anyone fill in any more details on this ? Will they run under the existing rules?

Club racing rules, has nothing to do with MNZ National rules, ie the VIC club and F2 rules

Safety is the only rellivance for MNZ and club racing

from what i can tell they are official mnz rules nd ya i think it could be alot of fun. weapon of choice would have to be one of the new ninga 250s just coz they are so cool.

There's been a bit of discussion both at the AGM workshop and within M/C Canty. The general feedback is the proposed rules are too liberal, they should really be as per the current Streetstock rules, with obvious adjustment the engine size/ type and tyre sizes. Otherwise the rest of the Streetstock rules fit up well.
Ideally these bikes should be standard, just as they were ridden on the steet bar the obvious glass / numberplate mounts etc removal.

Not official, but Motorcycling Canterbury will run these bikes within Streetstock starting July 18th at levels. As the MNZ rules are only "proposed" this means Supplementary rules will be used (unless of course the MNZ rules come into force on July1st) Senior licence holders only.

It's just our club's initiative to "hit the ground running" with this new opportunity, as we did 2 years ago, the first club to run Pro Twins as a championship class.

They never needed to move the RG foot pegs for saftey, and they were very low.

Like Oyster said, as they come off the street (within reason eg home made crash repair parts)
