Hey guys, I dunno if this is the right place, but I'm stuck in auckland all this weekend with nothing to do. I'm on a block course at Manukau institute of tech in Otara, does anyone know if there is anywhere near (walking distance) good to go socialise without feeling like im going to get shot!
Cheers,
-Glen

Why not check out the Otara markets on Sunday at the community centre?

If you can get to the shore, there's beer here.
Theres a BBQ at The Strangers tomorrow night isn't there? Great timing...

Always a beer in west Auckland mate, Stangers BBQ just down the road and a place to sleep it off if you want.

There's a bourbon in the fridge here too - but I guess that's just cruel when you don't have transport...

You might be ok, Otara hasn't progressed past knives yet.

Actually that earlier post was a bit off - There's heaps of nice cold alcoholic beverages round here at mine too... Good luck with Auckland!

you would have to walk for a while. I'm guessing about 7 hours.
low chance of being shot, most folk out that way are really nice happy people but there are a few who mug others for kicks. just head down the local and see what happens but leave you rolex at home

Hey Glenn,
I've been up here for a year now and haven't sussed out the buckets in Mt Welly yet. If you're keen, drop me a pm & I'll pick you up on Sunday, gives me an excuse........ Bikes off the road so would be in the cage.
