Does everyone who uses that line follow every other NZ sport team with such enthusiasm?
I knew I should have put money on France @ $6. Those were crazy odds.

has anyone seen the womans refuge stats on how many women get the bash because the ABs lost a game? this country is so fucked up when everything revolves around who managed to kick a fucking ball the most
I hate loosing to the Frogs almost as much as I hate working with a bunch of Aussies when the AB's loose....what a s**t of a day this was.

I HATE RUGBY!!!!
I used to enjoy it. Back in the day of Sean Fitzpatric, Grant Fox, Zin Zan etc etc... It was a mans game. Now they're all far more concerned with how their hair or mascara looks!! Fucking poofs.
I come from a big rugby background too, I played rugby from 5 til about 16, my gramps was an all black and played for hawkes bay, my dad played for king country and the te kuiti maori side (even though he isn't maori)... but I have lost all interest in it.
AND my dad has switched to watching league.... and he used to HATE the shit!
Not that I give a shit though, I'm getting a new bike on Thursday :D

Well I do hope that Graham Henry doesn't start sending pervy text messages to his players.
I thought that it was an excellent game of rugby and really enjoyed it. Right from when I was a young kid I have always considered the ABs to be the best and I still do. They are a great team to watch and when things go their way, they can put on a really special show like no other team can.
The game of Rugby has changed in recent years and there are more teams at or closer to this higher level. Before each game you need to have a strategy as to how you will play. This strategy will be dependent upon the studied strengths and weaknesses of the other team. This is what the French did very well last night. If the strategy is failing, then it is up to the manager to recognise this and make appropriate adjustments.
YOU CAN'T JUST TRY THE SAME PREDICTABLE GAME PLAN FOR EVERY GAME AND SEE HOW IT WORKS.
The last world cup should have been a walk in the park and an straightforward victory. The team was fit and on form. Unfortunately the tournament strategyless management team stated:
"We would rather not win the world cup than win games with unattractive rugby"
Nice one Mr H. You got your wish and if you stay in charge, you will get the same on home soil at the next world cup!

Hahahahaa... We went down to one of the local establishments with a French mate of ours and his partner :D I'm an AB's supporter, but the French deserved to win last night. Our mate looked a little worried 10 minutes before the game finished! I wondered if he thought he might be lynched, but no.... He supports the AB's too!
Ah, well... back to shooting the 8-ball!

How about rugby but without the ball. They could use a number of things, for instance:
1. a big pie
2. the crap cushions that the missus has adorned casa fatt with
3. a big fish
4. some poo in a bag
5. a small african person
Any one of these would greatly increase the attraction of the game in my book.
Some rule changes as well, such as:
1. all kicks to be taken in the nude
2. Line outs to be done blindfolded....and in the nude
3. If a streaker gets onto the pitch, he/she is allowd to score a try for the home team only
4. A knock on is replaced by a 'Knack On', meaning the ball has to bounce off one of the players knackers in order to be deemed 'knacked on'.
5. A scrum is to be renamed 'A Slum' which means, in the event of a knack on, the whole game is moved to Sydney, hence the word 'Slum'.
5. A kick for touch means that whoever kicks the ball the farthest gets to 'touch' a member of the opposition....who is in the nude
So there you have it, a few ideas to make the game a tad more interesting meethinks...

I might like it if I knew what the blue blazes was going on, I do watch it but I grew up with a round ball and the beautiful game.
Why do the commentators blow it up so much guys, first game of the season wasn't it? heads will roll, questions will be asked in the dressing room, a complete re-think! Jeez, teams lose sometimes, even the ABs. If ya didn't lose once in a while victory wouldn't taste so sweet.

I'll agree it was a good game. As for Henry we had the best NZ coach go off to OZ because Henry never had the good grace to step aside for a better man.
Whenever NZ win I'll call them NZ when they lose they are Henry's team.
Looks like Henry's gonna get another two years that will take him up to the world cup.

How about rugby but without the ball. They could use a number of things, for instance...
Perhaps a handbag would be appropriate? About the same size as a pointy ball and also made from leather.
They could keep their makeup and mascara in it as well.
Hopefully the sponsors will see the attraction of putting their money into bike sports.

Trying their hardest to feel each other up

I've no problem with rugby as a game (i'm not a fan) but think it's good if it get kids away from their playstations for a run around on a saturday, My problem is the boofheads who get agro in town and then go home and bash their partners after the game.
and the other thing that pisses me off is the news, they'll have a ten minute segment about some guys kneecap or hamstring in the News section of the news then repeat it all in the sports section, i'd rather see the IOM or womans gymnastics ;) then endless rugby coverage.
