Ok first ride is done. Mad guitarist what happened to you mate? I looked behind and you were gone, I bracktacked and couldn't find you. You must have turned off somewhere.
Anyhow good ride, perfect weather, light traffic and Old North Road is in great condition for this evening. And I got my knee down about 4 times left and right. Here is the key to getting your knee down: wear knee sliders they extend your knee about an inch, and that makes all the difference. That was first time with knee sliders on too.
So all ready for the 6pm shift.

Hauling ass helps too.
Cheers for the ride Fraser. Old north isn't bad, but it has nothing on 22. Myself and paparazzi followed an HP back into spaghetti junction. :niceone:
Till next time

Nice turn out, some new faces. Pretty much hooned it up to Kaucopa. And we had it on 2 videos cams! Quick turn around and back but by that time the light had gone. I slowed right down as I had a tinted visor and couldn't see where I was going.
Got my knee down hard on a tightish bend (the corrugated one on old North Road) which pretty much made my day. Wheelies were crap as my back end decided to wheelspin instead of grip, I don't know why. So all in all a double ride day, some fun and no accidents. Cool.
Bugjuice is having a mare, his crash protector fell off then when he got to my place he dropped the bike off its sidestand. No great damage thank God.
This might be the last after work ride though as there is just not enough light from now on.
See some of you at Puke. :niceone:

I slowed right down as I had a tinted visor and couldn't see where I was going...Twas a good turnout (around 8 bikes) for an after-work ride with under an hours light remaining in the day, thanks for the organisation Mr S, it was just what I needed on my way home from a tough day at work! That was the first real *blast* I've had on my bike in a week or so of owning it - certainly blew out all the cobwebbs that's for sure!
Great to accompany such a bunch of safe, capable riders :niceone: .
Btw, I couldn't see much coming back either...must try and store the clear visor somewhere on the bike in case of emergency!

:brick: :angry2: fukin knob. I'm takin them off. Really doesn't help that the bolt holding it all together doubles up as the engine mount too, so rode hope listening to the engine clinking around under me :angry2: Sods law tho, I take them off, and something happens!
Ironically, get to Swannys, and what happens? Fukin kick stand folds in as I lean the bike over :angry2: :brick: Slight chips on the crank case and snapped the footpeg in half. All that coupled with the exhaust can coming off last week, and the puncture (glad it wasn't the new tyre), this bike is really giving me jip at the mo..
Still wouldn't swap/sell it for the world, just going thru a rough patch..
Footage looked ok for most of it, gonna watch it on the big screen soon (well, bigger than the camcorder screen!), then if it's any good, I'll edit out the slow/crap bits, and see what I can put together..
:angry2: fukin knob.. :brick:

What you need my friend, is a shitter of a bike.

yeah, I know what you mean, and I have thought about it etc etc, but I've gone over 6 months absolutely trouble and incident free, until last week when it all came at once.. I don't like kicking myself in the nuts, but it'd be a catch 22 either way at the moment..
I caught the bike before it laid fully down, the crank and peg just kissed the deck, that's it. If I hadn't have caught it, then a heap more would have buggered up.. so kinda lucky.. then again, the stand could have not folded.. :angry2:

I dont want to know how many bugs I caught with my eyes (tinted visor, doh!), in the end I think it was bug guts (note, I didnt say juice!) that was lubricating my eyeballs.
Ride back was a complete cruise, too dodgy in the dark!

I've sacrificed heaps lately, and just get nothing but :kick:
might try taking everything instead of giving, see where that gets me.
Footage wasn't too bad actually. Anyone in the area, or want to pop over, feel free, just text me on 021 234 7744 before hand. I'll try to get it sorted on the net soonish, but no promises as to when..
