Hey Everyone!

Names Vlad and i'm 19 years old, just got myself my first bike.

Its a Honda CB125 circa 1974 which i picked up with my limited uni student budget, it doesn't exactly start or do anything properly. The problems are too numerous to list lol. But over the next few months i shall tear it down, repaint it and with my limited mechanical knowledge rebuild it and restore it to its former glory.

I apologise in advance for the numerous "Anyone know how to fix drum brakes?" posts and the slew of noob questions that i will no doubt end up asking lol.

Its going to be an adventure, but worth it all the way.

Peace, Vlad.

I managed to download one off the net, i'll probably end up printing and binding that, theres a few on trade me but they are probably soaked in grease and a bit tattered. Good idea though. Should be a nice bike when its done, here's to hoping i dont drop it the day after its completed.

Lol i'm so keen, seeing as i'm rebuilding the engine i may as well figure out a way to make it go faster... its already got two K&N filters on her for MAXIMUM POWER! and no plastic side fairing, thats like a solid 400grams of weight gone!

You cant possibly drop it, I never managed to drop mine. If I remember correctly, it used to go really well, but had fuel supply issues that left me stranded. Check the fuel tap is not left on reserve after someone fills it for you. DAMHIK.

Nice one Vlad and welcome to KB.

I didn't realise being a student gave you so much spare time.

Good luck.

Welcome to the world of KB. You will find lot's of useful (and not so useful) advice on here. The search function is also a good tool as you will find that lots of the questions you need answers to have already been asked and a wealth of feed back provided.
