Bit-torrent is peer to peer... hiding then fact you downloaded the torrent from piratebay (or who ever) is of no value if you wish to remain anonymous.

Your bit-torrent client will still have to connect to the tracker to find peers, and you will connect directly to peers to actually download yeah ?

Um because torrents can be very slow, annoying and too much fuss. and depending on what you are downloading your ISP can track the dirty things you download. dirty being copyrighted. which is pretty much everything.

I pay for a rapidshare account because everything is there, and its always there dont have to rely on seeders, and its always bloody fast. the HD topgear took like 10 mins to download.
and its not really expensive if you download alot.
