I was a bit nervous leading up to the race due to events at home and not being at all prepared, physically or mentally. 5am Saturday came with a THUD!

Get to the track before 8am, thanks to Skunk & co, Deano, Weaver and some fulla with a mullet and a black eye. After riders briefing, the usual events transpired and Drew ended up unappreciative of the 2smoke odour. Bike started and after a quick check seemed as good as last time.

Qualifying/ Practice
I had never ridden the long track before so set myself a qualifying target time of 2.50. I had made myself sick with nervces through the morning when I went out. I had fun but I just couldnt get my head right so knew I had alot to improve on. I qualifyed with a 2.48 so set myself a goal of 2.40 for the race.

Race 1, Sat
Got a pretty good start cause everyone else went to sleep at the grid. For once I was lucky that I was paying attention to AJ during his streetstock briefing but that's another story, eh Peanut ;)

I got away from the start and just starting powering into the first corner, except I suddenly felt retarded and like I just didnt know what to do. I started braking changing gears, braking then suddenly just throwing the bike into the corner way to tight. Came out wide and bam, everyone came flying past me. I started tensing up and soing the same thing into most corners so only managed a time of 2.44.

Race 2 Sun
I was really pissed at myself for riding like a dick so decided that day's two's goals were to slow down and turning into corners later and much wider than Saturday. Aiming again for a 2.40.

I got a pretty crap start. Start's are generally the only thing I get right ATM but I didnt actually start moving until everyone else but I moved myself into the right position on the track and relaxed. I had started to relax, got my gearing right and passed someone through turn one. For the first 5lap's I did the same thing and had a great battle with a couple of people but at about lap 6 I panicked and rode like a retard again. Still I got almost a 2.40 flat this time so I was pretty stoked.

Felt like things just "clicked" this time! I had some minor mechanical problems but nothing too major. I had decided that if I didnt blow the bike up this round then I was going to paint and go sponsor hunting, so now I need to choose a colour. Black or Blue?

BRING ON ROUND 3!!! :wari:

Always good fun at the track with you guys around, and cheers for your help in the pits.

Yeah I am really really sorry too :weep:
I had some personal stuff happen and I just needed to get out...racing was actually the only thing that was making me question leaving, but I am happy I did and I have to be back for school in Feb so will definitely be making the winter series next year (if I get back early maybe even the summer one!!)
Take care Sue!
