A guy from work won this at the Te Manawa "Motorcycles Unleashed" exhibit and has put it up for sale. Starting price $7,000. Brand spankers.

Hmm at a buy now of $9500 and a RRP of $16k a smart dealer would pick it up as i doubt there is anywhere near $6k profit in one for them.

You're probably right - can't imagine too many people buying one at RRP, but at $12-13k it's still a good buy!

The shop where he picked it up wanted to buy it back off him for the 9.5K but Kawasaki wouldn't let them so in all likely hood 9.5K is less than dealer cost...

Thanks for that info. I figured there would be $3k maximum it in for a shop. Kawasaki NZ might not even get them for $9500!

I wonder if the shop could have 'traded' it on say a $500 scooter to the winner - $9k cash plus the scooter....:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Or trade it in for xyz and give customer a store credit for balance,then after say a month offer to credit the sellers account.
