Qualifying. I took it easy for the first 2 laps to finish running the motor in. as i came on to the start/finish straight at the end of lap 2 i started to push it and get a good time. i was happy with the bike and with my speed. I ended up going faster every lap and ended up with a time of 2.43.401 which got me 8th SS150. i was fairly happy with my results.

Race 1. The nerves got to me and i screwed up the start and done a fairly high wheelie which gave me a bit of a fright. i had a bit of a battle with another guy on the last couple of laps and on the last lap i pushed it a bit to hard around 1 of the corners on the back track and ran off into the grass. i kept it pinned and was just behind him when i got back onto the track, i knew i would be able to pass him on the long left hander coming back onto the short track so i made the move a got him going into the last corner. i finished 7th with a best lap of 2.37.445.

Race 2. I wanted to get a good start this race but absolutely screwed it up and stalled it just as the lights went out. by the time i had started the bike everyone was around turn 1 and i had a lot of ground to make up. as i exited turn 1 i saw a bird flying towards me from the side and i duck, its feet hit the top of the helmet which gave me a fright. i kept pushing hard and to my surprise i was catching them very fast and by the end of the first lap i had passed 1 person. i didn't slow down until the last laps when the back tire had heated up to much and was sliding on the exits of about 4 corners. at this stage i was 9th and my right boot kept opening and it was distracting me. on the last lap i was passed and i couldn't pass him back so i had to settle for 10th with a best lap of 2.34.527

Hi Jeff.
I can't think of many guys out there racing, that work as hard as you do to get there. Somebody must be real worried about the competition to bother training a bird to divebomb you. I bet it's one of those old guys threatened by the up and coming youths:Pokey:. Keep bringing those lap-times down young man.

I would have to say that the race where you stalled the bike on the start line and then gave it 1 kick and off you went metres behind everyone else would have to be the best race i have seen you in since you started racing with us in May 2008. Every lap you were bringing them in 1 by 1 and I was totally impressed with how well that bike of yours is running with all the hard work you have put into it. You sure have come along way Jeff since then and its great to see that you are enjoying your Streetstock Racing and I wish you all the very best for the remaining Rounds of this years Winter Series. Keep up the goodwork Jeff.
