WILDMAN R4 THIS SUNDAY JUNE 28TH

Its round four of the Wildman Series this weekend. We met with the Council
and the Concerned Resident Group at the Environment Court for mediation last
month. Despite the fact that nobody (other than man goat pigs with super
sensitive hearing) seems to be able to hear the bikes at the same levels
claimed by the residents, the Council, at the residents request, have agreed
to conduct another acoustic test this weekend. The Acoustic Engineer
employed by the Council believes that the noise testing measures we have
been implementing this year, combined with the riders putting their stock
mufflers back on and keeping their mufflers repacked, could have brought the
sound levels down to below the rural limit. We will find out this Sunday!

We will run practice sessions from 10.00 followed by three rounds of racing
in classes:

250 - Open Pro and Support
125 - 250 4 stroke Pro and Support
Vets 35 +
Novice
Junior 125
Junior 85

...as well as a thirty minute Wildman all in main event for the senior
riders and a twenty minute Junior Wildman feature race.

The weather forecasts this morning based on the Metvuw computor model, were
for north easterlies and rain spreading south on Sunday. Its the same
weather pattern we had for round 4 this time last year where the
northeaserly lay off the Coromandel coast for most of Sunday before coming
across on Sunday evening.

The track was powerharrowed and lightly watered for the Wednesday practice
session this week which sealed off the surface. It can rain all day today
and even on Saturday and not affect the track as long as its fine on Sunday.
If its not raining on Saturday morning I am going to head down and do some
prep work but I will leave the powerharrowing until Sunday morning.

We will keep you posted with the latest weather and track conditions on the
Raceline, if its going to rain all day we may cancel so make sure you check
by ringing ph 09 2680886.

see you Sunday
