I was looking at what to do with the wiring and kinda like the idea of having the ignition coils revealed, like in the pics.
Now I would prefer the leads to be something bold, and stand out, such as red.
What does it take to replace the leads, or can anyone do it in the Bay of Plenty?
Do they actually sell the leads on the roll, ie. sell it by the meter?
Cheers

The question is 'Are the plug leads moulded into the coil as one piece or can you separate the leads from the coil?'
Old Hondas used to be moulded as one, my old BMW has separate leads.
If separate, any decent auto electrician can make you up a set of leads to plug into your coils. Repco will also make one up for you and charge for the length of cable used.
If not I have seen custom builders use shrink wrap over the leads but in that case the plug caps were pretty small.

Yes tht's right, the HT leads are moulded and moisture/leak proof.
If you are looking to replace these for cosmetic reasons, you should also consider the performance improvement with higher quality leads.

Yeah you can probably heatshrink them, or just slide some spaghetti covers over them. Trapping dirt and moisture under the cover will eventually hurt them though.

I took the piss about the clutch lever (try . . .a . .. bike . ..shop. ..)
But being serious forget trying to use car type lead. Many have tried for the pretty colours but found that the silicone leads don't work as well as mc copper cored originals, car ignitions are different like that. Many a 'strange ignition fault' has been traced back by putting the originals back on.
