Well they made that choice themselves after a torrid year of poor results on KYB.
Like all teams on Ohlins they have to purchase the product and also pay a service contract fee for a full time technician at the meetings and for testing. About 100,000 euros service contract fee per annum.
And look at the immediate result, Rea bagged a Superbike win and it could have been two!
This augers well for Honda riders who work directly with CKT, I am off to Sweden in September and will be getting the latest setting info and upspecs.
The rest of the WSBK and WSS season should be quite interesting!

No he has loaned it to Phil Goff, deridingly referred to by our great leader during the budget debate as ''Whack it on the bill Phil! "

To be fair its not ideal that Ohlins now have such a huge grip on MotoGP, WSBK AND WSS. Companies with a huge technical focus need stiff competition so they can keep lifting their game.
Showa and WP should be stepping up to the challenge.

And lets hope they do pull finger and create something amazing so that Ohlins can bring out something to beat it :2guns:

Its hard to think that they can get much better. But every year they keep doing it.

Think Mechatronics. Never used in NZ but already banned as a totally knee jerk reaction to an elaborate and very funny charade we played using Sam Smiths R6 at the Pukekohe round of the Nationals.
That there was such a knee jerk reaction spoke volumes.

All the competitors needs to do is to move their business to Sweden where they will be snowed in for half a year and nothing to do but figuring out clever solutions to problems. and drink vodka

My mates spend October to March tuning their bikes, in the spring there are some crazy machinery rolled out from the sheds haha

I see that you have been busy getting the "Gold" into the HRC motogp effort now. They were testing at Brno.
Where do you find the time Mr Taylor?
