We did a lot of research on this a few years ago. Changing to an Ohlins shock was the only option back then. It costs, but it's worth it.

Take a look here (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=32223)at some of the other mods you can do.

The Ohlins shock arrives from Sweden at standard length, we shorten it at no extra cost prior to delivery to the customer.
We absolutely do NOT recommend lowering links, on a number of bikes it can create a ''dead'' area of shock movement, it is a cheap and nasty way of lowering.
PM me for pricing.
