I can't be sure, but I think that bike lane-splitted (sp?) past me on my way home last night. I only saw the rear end, but that rego looks really familiar. I always read bike rego's as they filter past me. I would have been on the road between 18:15 and 19:00, driving between Les Mills Taranaki St and Stokes Valley.
Apart from that, unfortunately I can't offer anything else :( I reckon bikes should have security systems like the Lawgiver (TM) on Judge Dredd (delivers lethal shock to anyone using/on it who isn't the legal owner) :angry2:
Best of luck getting bike back to owner.

Hey do you want to give the dude a quick phone call and let him know.
It may have been his bike.... he can then start cruising around the area... to try and find it.
I dont know the dude, its just that I spotted the thread on TM... and thought hey lets help this dude out.
Cheers.

No.
I would give anything to have the luxury everyone takes for granted of being able to speak whenever, and to whomever I choose. Alas I can't. Feel free to give him a call and relay what I wrote. As I said, that really is everything I can offer.
Also, I don't think if it was the bike, it would stay in that area I gave. I suspect, being it the correct bike, it was on it's way north, or wherever stolen bikes go.

Sad to say, it's probably long gone... :(
