Had a crapper of a week, so I went out to Coromandel for some solo riding time.
It featured:
1x Scariest Bike Ride of all time due to night, rain, fog, wind, and new tyres.
1x Excursion to Hot Water Beach (complete with F&C)
1x Gas Heater for gear drying at the bach
1 x 309 Road (Deserted)
1x Castle Point (Deserted)
4x Flooded Fords
1x Kauranga Valley (Deserted)
1x Spectacular iPod Death
8x Near Death Experiences
Twas a good weekend. Lessons learnt:
1: Scrub your brand new tyres BEFORE heading out on a night/wet ride.
2: Wet Rides are good as long as you acknowledge that you will get wet and cold and you mentally label this as 'Fun'.
3: iPods and Digital Cameras don't like water.

was going to post up an call for volunteers, but then decided I needed some solo riding time.
One should never underestimate the value of solo riding time to get a clear head...

was all clear this time round. Has mostly been logged in the upper reaches.
There was one bit with some debris, but easily negotiated with some clay riding.
Ahhh! so thats what the area looks like... was wondering!

Looks like fun. My two comments would be invest in a plastic two piece and get a pinlock for the helmet if ya cans. Both make wet more enjoyable.
Love the long range tank you've fitted.

Sounds like a plan! Although I suspect there'd be a few cagers around the area in better weather..
A winter trip is always fun, just gotta wait for the fords to go down a bit...
