No you're wrong - pics are great. Shakey cold hands, rain drops on the lense adds to conveying what was happening! Should've stuck 'em on the wires thread though, so when I look again when next ride on, I'll be reminded that it's much warmer an drier staying home and wimping out.

Where were these taken exactly?Looks like the wires "loop" track not the whypahack (sp)conection.

just found a waterproof case on trademe for my camera for $40... could be good if it stays that cheap

I'm on the look out for a 'cheap' weather resistant camera, must have a view finder to eliminate shake and taking pix of stuff either side of subject. I want to be able to get quick, easy snaps during trail rides and the gear I'm using would require a trailer.... :laugh:

they're just a basic point and shoot normal user digital camera, but with 100kg crush rating, a few meters drop rating and a few meters waterproof rating. so far we've had one for 2 years and my mrs hasnt broken it, it must be tough!

no viewfinder though, only a decent sized lcd screen

Yeah I've seen them, nice, but I bought a flash (excuse the bad pun) Sony point and shoot with all the bells and whistles. Really nice camera, ($700 worth... :shit: ) but the lack of a view finder renders it almost useless when trying to shoot moving subjects (includes downed riders writhing in pain... :whistle: ) and makes using 'burst' near impossible...... The search continues............

yeah mate SLRs are the only way to get good pics i recon but damn they're heavy and bulky Just tough it out and get good insurance is my method... Never weighed my camera bag but must be gettin towards 5kg
