I recently fuelled up and having no fuel gauge i use the tripmeter , i turned the knob back to zero to find that it came off in my hand . It fits in but the end has a bit broken off it so it wont work .
Went to Yamaha and of course they only will sell me the whole speedo .
Is there anyway i can fit or get it fixed ?

Yeah, dab a bit of superglue on the tip and fit it in resting against the broken piece, there's a chance that'll work lol.

Pull it apart and see what the problem is. Take your time and don't break it. It's good fun working on speedos.

Have tried it got as far as taking the glass out and it was sealed so i decided not to go any further .
I didnt retreave the broken piece either it must of fallen out at some point . While having the speedo cover off i did reset the tripmeter tho using tweezers so will put back together to see if i can .

Start looking on ebay maybe for a cheap speedo and pull it apart for that one missing piece?
