my was nearly finished after 22.000km, :shit: but still driveable, maybe 1000km more,
I think the metall by the new models too soft,or what is going on,whats your experience,
nice to hear from other klr biker..................,
allways hold your mirrows up,fredontour. :bye:

I change mine from 14 to 15 tooth occasionally. I've done 12000K & both look alright.

Hi Fred
Have you all healed up OK?
on my 08 the front sprocket was mildly hooked at 18,000 km and was replaced
on my 09 the front sprocket was mildly hooked at 13,000 km and was replaced
I've never seen one as rooted as yours - well done

My 05's are 20 k old and are only slightly hooked. (fooked)
I cannot figure out how your one would actually drive the chain.
Good effort. I've never seen one that bad.

yes,I'm healing up,Mark,thanks,
but there are some complications in the wrist,in
4 weeks they make a x-ray,than we see whats happend.
Its only for the future, when I change this in Wanaka, there was now 08 sprocket avaiable in Nz,it must be ordered from Japan,15 teeth original,
thats why I have now a 93 model sprocket, hopefull the metall is much more harder and holds for the next 30.000km,
and Stu,Mark thanks for your help, see you again in Oktober in Timaru,
and hold an eye on my bike, give me a email, when the shop can't bring the alu topcase in form, may be I bring a new one from Aussie to Nz ,greetings to all,
Fred.:scooter:

Glad to hear you are healing up, Fred.
Its only for the future, when I change this in Wanaka, there was now 08 sprocket avaiable in Nz,it must be ordered from Japan,15 teeth original,I will have to remember this for the next time KTM parts availability is pooh-poohed.
I'm happy if I get 9,000km from a front sprocket.
