Seems to me you're just paying for the name. Yep thats why they bought it here,if anybodys stupid enough it would be a Kiwi. Can just see that outside a shop selling coffee and milk for $25 a cup.

 I bet you could build yourself 3 of those for 400k.

The bike in Auckland is $400,000 - in the rest of the country it's probably worth a third of that!

The name doesn't match the bike; apart from yellow paint, there's nothing remotely Lamborghini-esque (or even Italian) about it. <_<

Yes, I went in and had a chat with the lady in the Lambo shop. NZ$400,000. Apparently it cost US$200,000 to build. Seems a bit far-fetched to me. Dunno what that money would've gone into.

The bike is yuck. I've seen nice custom choppers, but that ain't one of them.

And, exactly.

Stuff that, for that price you coul dbuy a decent Lambo car and a new Ducatti 1198 or R1 or whatever your chosen stallion might be. What a waste of coin.

I actually think it doesn't look too bad except for the colour.
I wonder if Jay Leno has got one?

For $400,000 i could get a couple of very nice sports bikes, a couple of bigger cruisers, a couple of dirt bikes ... and a lot more ... bugger spending it on one bike!!

that was cutting edge custom chopper, what three or so years ago? then people realised the economy had tanked, that anyone with money could buy something similar, and that they SUCK TO RIDE: great big hairtrigger V twin that doesnt run nicely at low revs, a huge wide tyre and long wheelbase that mean it doesnt work like a bike should, and to sully the name of Lamborghini with it? WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Hopefully there isnt the money round these days for some fucktard to buy it. Like, the people who would be attracted to the abortion would now be dead in a gutter somewhere, I hope.

Bah! Humbug!

Interesting that the action in the US custom scene is bobbers/performance inspired stuff/ratbikes and baggers. They all at least can be made to do what a motorbike does.!

$400,000 for an un-authentic lambo bike? Geez just get a Gallardo for that...

I've just bought it. First stop Motomail for some heated grips and saddle bags.

Ride report to follow.

I have to agree with vifferman!

I would expect something from Lambo to be a high revving V12 hyper sports bike.

Not even lightly impressed.

HD V-ROD would have to be a better option.

I doubt any self-respecting Italian would even be seen dead on a V-ROD lump of pig iron.

I went for a ride and found it last night. I was impressed with the style - I think it's a nice looking thing and having two wheels in one of those wank factories is a good thing.

But I can't see 400k in it either. Haven't got any specs but I reckon even going full noise S&S the boys downstairs at AMPS would build similar for around 150k.

I always wondered what my ex wife did with my old farm hack of a bike that she got as part of our separation agreement. It does look a bit different with the mud washed off it!

Swot I thought when the lady told me it cost US$200K to build. I call bullshit. What'd they do, line everything with gold foil à la McLaren F1 engine bay?

I'll give you a dollar (and, for a bicycle courier, that's a lot of money) if you pop by there with camera and poisoned pen and poniard the bike for next month's issue.

12th July 2009, 12:19
Well yellows kinda the right colour for it..... Cos at 400k it's gold plated pile of poo!

Taking the $400k buying a half doz Augusta's and useing the remainder to hire a track for the day with an open bar to finish sounds a better deal. At least you "might" have a decent bike or two left at the end.

AllanB

It's another clone of a clone of a clone of a 3 year old chopper.

Give me a nice bobber anyday.

What a piece of shit. I wonder where the fuck they dreamed up the 400k
figure from. It's only worth whatever some dumbass wants to pay for it, which I gaurantee won't be 400, or 300, or 100 or 50k.

I agree it would be worth verifying the facts before uncorking the paraffin for the torches.

Perhaps they are gold plated doohickeys.

I seem to recall Dave Anderson showing me a 80k engine. Not filed under gospel though.

You can spent $20k on wheels too. How much is hand engraved etc etc.

400 grand hmm. maybe the frame is solid gold, and to keep the gold from crumbling like gold does it has a diamond core. the fairings are teflon coated making it bulletproof. maybe michael jackson rode it

or could be just overpriced like a mazda wankel powered car
