Yeah there was one on trademe at red baron, same colours not sure on k's etc. Seen it briefly and wanted it. Not due back on a bike anytime soon so wasn't much point.

The mc22 hon-duh lowered the compression and changed cam profiles, possibly jetting too, to get them down to 40 hp. How well does your zxr go? Choice little beasts :niceone: I want the front end off one

Thats the thing it still seems to go like balls, i havnt taken it on a proper run yet as it needs to go for a revin, as in... ive only whipped it up and down the driveway and a spi when i bought it... i spose i could say it seems a little less peppy down low than other zxr's i have ridden, but im going to put it next to my mates zxr and have a bit of a drag and see which one is slower...

looking in the carbs they have changed them and there is a slot in piece where the slide goes down but it doesnt narrow the main passage or anything, going to see whats going on...

worst comes to worst ill whack some A model cams into it and some earlier carbys. has a nice tight gearbox on it though, see what happens i guess itll be a while before i get to take it for revin etc as im still sorting freighting up the towbar i bought for my car.

Just be careful with oil feed to the cams...and potential differences in valve springs, head porting, port angles and carb angles and jetting lol. Open the end can up and make it screeeaaaaam!!!!!!:headbang:

I crashed that into the side of a cage almost 2 years ago to pay for my upgrade. Got more from "market value" insurance than I paid for it. Helped that I'd bargained Red Baron down heaps (to a fair price) when I paid for it then they told the insurance company it was worth their normal asking price :lol:

If you want the keys I've probably still got them somewhere. Also would like the puncture repair kit from under the seat if it's still there. AMI said it wasn't there but I think they never looked or someone pinched it as the seat didn't come off in the crash.

Those Avons (assuming they haven't been changed) stick like shit too and last forever - they have ~5000km on them believe it or not.. Had it's cam chain tensioner rebuilt about 2 months before the crash too.

Hope you're gonna get a new swingarm for it. Everything else was cosmetic from memory.

Didn't touch the zxr apart from taking the battery and some fuel from it which i was told to do as they needed fuel and a battery for the rat bike...

about 170 -180 ks round town 200-230 on open road out of a tank 25 ish to fill her up from reserve...

i just fill it up and ride it couldnt give a crap about mileage really...
