RJays Fog-Free Visor Film

Put one of these on my visor the other day because I get massive amounts of fogging, even with my helmets nose-guard insert. Breathing through my mouth helps, but figured I'd try something else.

It helps, but not a whole lot. Still fogs a bit, but less than before. Would probably work find if you were only having a slight problem with fogging under certain weather conditions etc. but given my all-fog all-the-time scenario I think its a bit lacking.

As a warning, if you do get one of these, there appears to be a 5mm wide strip around the edge of the stick-on piece that tears off... Make sure you tear it off after applying because mine came loose while riding and I inhaled it. Not at all pleasant.

Yeah, like I said, my helmet fogs massively for some reason. Even on a warm sunny day I can't have the visor completely closed unless I'm deliberately breathing out of my mouth downward.

Might try a pinlock insert on a tinted visor if it gets too frustrating...

Mine worked fine up & down desert road this week. The only time I had problems was with mist on the outside during foggy nights which im sure theres some product out there to help with that

I've got the Rjay's one - it seems to have got less effective as time as gone on. With a balaclava, it's useless.

I'm going Pinlock with the next lid (January... Huzzah!!)

$50 for a Pinlock fitted. Can't go wrong no matter what lid your wearing. Mine's on an HJC. Great investment.

I agree pin lock is the way to go. I had the same problem with massive fogging, I fitted a film anti fog insert. It worked for a couple of weeks then it got some moisture in it and it was completely useless. Coming back from a ride in the cold and rain it let go and started flapping in my eye. Go for a pin lock from the start save you the hassle 3 weeks down the track

I use lemon pledge and a microfibre towel on the outside of my visor. Certainly helps with stopping rain sitting on the visor, and may help with other moisture.

Smells nice too.

Go direct to pinlock, save yourself a lot of shagging around!

I recently tried on of the Fog City inserts thanks to a great offer from a fellow KB'er in wellington.

However while it was fine it lasted for approx 3 weeks before it disappeared out my slightly open visor, leaving a lovely small cut just under my left eye.

For me too, next time I will go pinlock. Once I sell my cage I'm contemplating buying a new visor and getting pinlock fitted.

As an alternative it was suggested using a good quality dish wash and wiping that onto the visor, waiting for it to dry and then polishing it off. Been doing that since and needs done about every 4/5 days, but cheaper than temporary bits of plastic.

**Please note this is not a gripe about the service received from said KB'er. Purely a report on my experience with the product**

Ive changed my mind they are absolutely crap. They dont work with balaclavas or heavy rain after 2 weeks of install and I have a spare un-opened one here.. Any takers ? :laugh:
