View Full Version : Motomart to be BMW
MOTOMART
13th July 2009, 17:18
As of the 1st August Motomart will be the official BMW dealer for the Lower North Island.
Keep an eye out for the new models of bikes and soon after the gear will come in stock.
So we will be dealers for Honda, Ducati and BMW.
Onwards and upwards. :Punk:

Good for you guys
Marks just pissed as he really wants to work in a real bike shop someday ..... :shifty:
Personally I like going into a bike shop and seeing a range of options instead of all the same brand. And with the three you are now offering there is a wide variation of excellent bikes to tempt the punters.
It's also good to see a bike shop in NZ actually expanding instead of closing down!
Wait until Hitcher sees this.
Don't send any Flyers to the local RSA though promoting that your allies are; Japan, Germany and Italy. Not their favourite mix.

Just how many BMW motorcycle dealers are there in this country anyway? I honestly only saw one dealer and that was in Auckland.
I should proberly make an effort to visit Motomart and Welly motorcycles for once when a nice weekend comes along.

Good for you guys.
The Megamoto is my 'Bike of the Year', Mark. The one out of all I rode last year that I would most like to own.
The brand went through a 'Global Repositioning' (Chairman's quote) a few years ago.
The product is very good with several models in the current range I'd rate as highly desirable. R1200S is a peach.

Quite enjoying my R1100S at the moment.
I saw a thread not long ago where it was being lamented that there was no BMW dealer in the North Island South of Tauranga. Guess you just fixed that. :niceone:

Well done - been tempted by a GS a couple of times, but the lack of a local dealer really put me off...

Erm, nope. Motorad are still here. Looks like some swapping around has been done in Welly. Motorad now taken on Aprilia, TSS dropped Aprilia. I'm guessing Motorad has dropped BMW hence Motomart picking them up.
Good variety though.
Triumph/Kawasaki/Aprilia/MV Agusta @ Motorad
Ducati/BMW/Honda @ Motomart

Says the man? who in this Bike ad (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=99576) appears to be trying to negotiate to buy one.

It doesn't affect me. I get my official BMW parts from Motobins and Motoworks in the UK.

Personally I think it's a great strategy to get a disgruntled BM owner onto a Honda.
So when is the Honda 1200 shaft drive arriving exactly?
Features that would appeal to a BM owner
- odd looking
- shaft drive
- big
added bonuses (at a guess)
- reliable
- bulletproof
- good handling
