For all of you who were at Tulsi on Saturday night MrCSL & myself have composed a letter of complaint to send them.
We shall see if there is a response or not.

Excellent letter, Cathy. Will be interested to hear what their response is.
If they offer any refund, I guess I'll just have to come down personally to pick my share up ;)

15% public holiday surcharge?
Distracted by news of cricket test against Pakistan?
Casio calculator with new "Hindi rounding" function?

Top mark's for sending your letter . Most people would just pay the bill then cry about it for the next week .

Coz she's just that kinda gal.
And you're a right piking bugger, Mr Antisocial Mystery Not-A-Guest.
I was going to find someone who knew where you lived and come round and wake you up at an evil hour on Sunday morning, but I was too hung over, so you got lucky.

She didn't get voted "Site Bliss Nanny" for nothing, trashman. :msn-wink:
Good letter, Cathy. Like Sensei said, most would just go home and whine into their beer.

I don't see why we couldn't do what I suggested, and wait in the parking lot for the shift to finish, and break some kneecaps!
But, if anything else were to be done, it should be a letter of THAT calibre. Well done that girl!
Let us know how it goes, as I'm sure you were planning to do :niceone:

Two interesting letters in recent papers:
The complaint about a restaurant that hired school kids, 11-13 year olds, as waiters. Paid youth wages and still charged the surcharge.
The restaurant charging the surcharge on Easter sunday, when it was pointed out that it was not a public holiday, the waitress said, "my supervisor says it is"

This wasn't anything to do with a holiday surcharge. It was incompetance on the part of the billing staff.

It was supposed to be a new thread. Guess I shouldn't post when half-asleep.

That's not food for thought, it's food that's fraught!

For those interested parties - I haven't heard back from Tulsi. Mind you I didn't really expect to.
Oh well, my foot shall never again darken the door of Tulsi, Cuba St...where a group of us spent almost 1 grand in booze & food.

I had dinner there 2 nights ago - was quite good. Prefer De Waat or Mano's tho

Right. I'll add them to the list of places where I stand around outside staring at people eating their meal on the other side of a thin plate glass window. I like to do this until they ask me to move on, whereupon I quote the Gospel of Wayne: (sotto voce), "A sphincter says; what?", and walk away mumbling imprecations like, "Zhang!", and, "There's something VERY sexy about Tia Carerre singing "Ballroom Blitz" in that white outfit." I do that last bit in a "High Camp" accent, and put a bit of sway into the walk.
