As per the title - this weekends gp is delayed till monday morning when we will all be at work again.
I signed up for sky at the start of the year to watch sbk and motogp live, the rest of thier programs are shite. Has anyone ever had any luck getting out of thier 12 month contract with Sky before?

Fucks sake stupid Tour de France
Le Tour is great, it makes me want to go to France again.
Delayed coverage of Moto GP or SBKs, however, makes me want to phone the office, pinch my nose and say, "I dink I got da flu".

Just goes to show you what those who work at Sky Sport think of Motorcycle Racing, (Not Much obviously). The sooner they get a Only Motorsport Channel the better. The amount of Rugby they put on there is ridiculous especially when there is already an only Rugby channel.
About time Sky Sport got their act together when it comes to The World Superbikes and the Moto GP and put it on Live instead of delayed coverage which is not what we pay our money for.

Afternoon shift. I get to watch it before I go to work. But you are right, it sucks that they keep doing this. Lets see them do the same to a rugby game huh.

Here's an idea - all the bike fans should not pay the months subscription next month as protest and maybe then they will realise that we do exist.
I have even written to the owners of the superbike series to let them know what kiwis think of skys coverage of thier series.

Problem is for a minority sport the minority that would do this will not cause Sky any issues.
As much as I love MotoGP it is a minority sport in NZ and will never get the same coverage as cricket, rugby, netball etc. I think the coverage they show is amazing i.e. the three race classes and build-up to each race.

While I agree not getting it live is a pain...(what's the difference betrween taping it at 1 am or 9am) I am happy to be getting it....if i didn't have sky I wouldn't get to see it as full coverage. so...i can understand this is not a top selling/watched sport so being able to see delayed full coverage is awesome....for me.....

i prefer the delayed coverage ,its much easier to go to work late than stay up all night.Plus they cut a lot of the pre race crap out

I have Telstra which is the same as SKy and even if i bitched directly to SKY from little old NZ , what good will it do ??
If its a complete race shown instead of the highlited rubbish on Peasant tele then im ok with it being other than live , i still record it no matter what to watch it when " i " want to watch it.

peasants!
look say fuck sky. pay 60 euro to motogp.com and you have live coverage of gp and wsbk. practice(gp only) qaulifying and race for the year online. god bless the net. and you get full replays of the lot whenever you cant be bothered. save a couple of hundred bucks a year

I agree, motogp.com is the most cost effective. I had issues with connection reliability last year that prompted me to get sky but it seems a bit better this year.

Not a bad idea. I would need broadband, though. I'll stick with the 20th century technology for the time being. It's nice to know there are alternatives out there.

Unless we get a race on saturday ie holand gp or early on sunday ie phillip island i have to tape them all and watch em that night after work, just have to avoid dialling in to motogp.com or WSBK.com that day to avoid seeing the results:yes:.
I do however think that when they are advertised on sky to be on at a certain time they need to leave as advertised. I was taping some racing one night and half way through they changed to a soccer match and switched the racing to another bloody sky sport channel:bash:

That's what really pisses me off and that's why I don't mind if they show delayed coverage. If it's scheduled for 9 am on a Monday morning, they're not going to bump it a the last minute for cricket or soccer or tennis.

YEAH you should have got in contact with Rod Cheeseman from Sunrise and told him NOT to put it on his Sports Report seeing that none of us have watched it yet due to delayed coverage of it been put on Sky Sport. I hate knowing the end results before having a chance to watch it.
I guess we need to learn not to put on the TV as well as the Radio until we have seen it for ourselves.

Here's a technical fix for those of you who want to watch Sky Sports live without any delays. Simply re-install your Sky dish about 8000 klm's North.

Well y'all better stay away from your radios and TVs next Monday because SKY have gone for the jackpot. MotoGP, Superbikes & Supersport are all delayed.

Christ guys, it wasn't that long ago that the only coverage we got was in Magazines. At least we get it same day or thereabouts.
We are a minority Sport, compared with Rugby, Cricket etc. BUT, we get a far better deal than the ALL conquering Softballers. They are going for a fourth straight World Championship. How much coverage of that have you seen????

oh for f@*k sake, the w@#kers have us over a barrel. I love my bikes and my league and if wasn't for the league i would have gone and bought a freeview box long ago. I have missed the last 3 motoGP races because sky delay them. I have no problem at all with them playing the major sports and giving the minority sports a back seat but why the f@*k cant they put it on one of the highlights channels. Christ its only 4 hours out of there precious little highlights channel to keep us happy. twats!!!!
sorry, getting wound up again!!:girlfight:

If I didn't love the bikes so much , I'd take my $85 subscription and walk.
Luckily for me as I am retired, my Monday mornings can now be spent watching TV.
Much prefer live though, even in the small hours. Gaz.

FRACK FRACK FRACK.
I didnt even know it was on COZ it was delayed and I didnt see it on the EPG. I thought they were on summer holidays, so I wasnt specifically looking out for them.
$%@$#@%@#
At least they are doing highlights (grumble, since I prefer the 125's / 250's and Supersport racing usually).
At least the F1 wasnt delayed as well!
I emailed sky about this after their last few efforts in delays a few months ago and got some waffly BS reply back about scheduling conflicts etc (funny how its almost ALWAYS some BS cricket match that NZ arent even playing in!!!!)
/rant off.

Heh Paul
Everybody has to ring Sky when the races are delayed and tell them that it's not good enough
Ringing once isn't enough either - ring them 10 times - it's a 0800 number - make the barstards pay for the privelige of not doing their job
They hate me - write to Kiwi Rider & BRM - they do log all calls & complaints
They see my customer number start flashing & know that it's GP & SBK time
RING THEM NOW

Don't forget it's a minority sport, why would they want to show the races live?
