View Full Version : Overfed man on Campbell Live

I realise Campbell live is full of shit..
BUT.. there's a fat man on there that's been living in a 'Housing NZ' house for four and a half years, complaining about the cold. Children with sniffly noses for years, etc.
If he's been in there THAT long, why hasn't he bought heaters for all the rooms? Why hasn't he spent some of the money that he's clearly spent on his own food on things more important??
If they've been in there that long, why hasn't one of them cleaned up the fucking mould?? Fucking tramps.
Wobbly soap box.. and I really shouldn't watch Campbell.. I know his bullshit winds me up.

I also get totally pissed off with stupid lazy fools whining and complaining about things they could perfectly well set right themselves.
I don't watch TV (I assume 'Campbell live' is a TV show) so i don't know the detail.
But, has he made snakes to put against doors to stop draughts? Does he have a fireplace?
Does he (family) wear sensible warm clothing? It's cheap enough nowadays, f'heavens sake
. And mould is easily enough dealt to. Soap, water, bleach. If there's mould , it's because he's a lazy bludger (assuming he's able bodied, or someone in the family is )
Vote communist, to get these slackers sent off to a labour camp. No other government will have the balls to tackle the massive bludger problem in this country.

Low income people don't always make smart lifestyle decisions.
They pay higher prices for telecommunications and electricity using prepaid or coin-in-slot meters, rather than open-ended contracts, to get price certainty.
They heat their homes with free-standing LPG heaters -- which give off 1 litre of water an hour.
They don't open windows or air their properties. Combined with poor heating choices, this leads to mould, mildew and associated health problems.
They don't know about airing bedding, flipping mattresses or washing bed linen. This exacerbates the issues described above.
They don't know how to prepare and cook food. This means they pay a premium for foods that contribute to obesity and its associated problems.
They own big dogs. They feed these on tinned food. They feed their dogs better then they feed their kids.
They purchase consumer goods they don't need and can't afford. They finance these at userous rates through loan sharks instead of regulated finance companies.
They watch Sky TV. They drink alcohol. They smoke cigarettes. They buy Lotto tickets.
They blame their woes on their landlords, and think that their circumstances will be improved by removing the GST on fresh food products.
I feel sorry for their kids, who run a strong risk of dying of Stupid First Name Syndrome.

If your post was a dig at my earlier post re the above I am not low income and I don't do any of the other things in your post.
I merely meant that rather than legislating about what people should and should not eat perhaps the government would be better removing this tax so that people could afford to make healthy choices.
2litres soft drink $1.50, 2litres milk $3.50. Something wrong there.

Tap water costs bugger all a litre. It is surprising how much tasty, nutritious food can be produced from surprisingly few dollars by shopping wisely, growing some vegies, and cooking one's own food.
Milk costs what milk costs, coke costs what coke costs. The issue is that some people aren't smart enough to know the nutritional difference between different sorts of liquids. Most of the world's population is lactose intolerant, so the essentialness of milk to children's health argument is largely bogus. And the GST on food issue is a red herring.

Its all about personal choice. But often there is little choice. The attempt to have a decent life(style), gets stymied by budgeted dream chasing. Sadly the dreams just get chased.
Why pick on low income people ... how many people "invest" their savings in finance companys, then bitch when they go broke.
Bad lifestyle choices are not just made by low income people. Middle income people would lose more... but they can afford to .... right ???

Maybe.. but they make better TV. And the TV loves to show us all the dumb decisions made by the brown people, doesn't it?

C'mon Hitch! Most of the population know that real food is crumbed, fried and served through a window!

Surely you do not mean "usurious", Hitcher? :Pokey:
