I think with todays road and traffic conditions, you should learn from the mistakes of others by getting some lessons from a professional provider.

You can find out by asking on KB, where you can get help!

They can show you how to avoid most of the mistakes, you haven't got time to make them all yourself! (the mistakes)

Some of them can be fatal and that will really ruin your day!

Welcome to KB, live long and enjoy your motorcycle, you will never loose that feeling of freedom on a bike! :ride:

This morning in Auckland was absolutely perfect riding conditions. Had a ball.

Stay safe newbies.

Welcome dude,

Great advice for you (and all of us) here.

I took some lessons to begin with plus the council of KB before I hit the open road. It's a huge difference from commuter riding and you dont realise how physically and mentally demanding it can be when you are new to it all.

Take it easy out there fella, I know it's really tempting to listed to Highway to Hell then go blatting around the country roads but there really is no rush, you have all the time in the world....

Plus, there are plenty of places to stop for a pie or 6, so why go so fast, you may miss a decent bakery....

Rock on dude, take care

Some good advice coming through mate, two wheels can be your best friend if you know what you're doing....your worst enemy if you don't. Take it easy and get your confidence up (but don't get cocky). Get heaps of advice and don't be shy to ask on here if you have any questions. There's a lot of experience on this site to draw on. Ride safe and have fun.

You don't have time to think. If you think, you're dead...

LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!

Haha

But seriously piranha, the message coming across might seem a bit negative and not what you were looking for but once you get used to KB mis-reading and geting all angry at your posts you'll realise they mean well and we ALL can relate to the feeling that only two wheeled machines of awesomness can give you!!!
