Wanted:Donation of time to help accident survivor

Hello,
My husband is the survivor of a motorbike accident. A sober driver pulled out right in front of him on the way home from work last November. Not only was his new bike a write off, but his left leg too and he suffered a head injury. He is progressing as can be expected. Now that he is more mobile he has gone back to fixing up his old motorbike, a Kawasaki 1000 Ltd. It is US spec'd. He has been modifying some of the ignition and other bits & bobs. He is now ready to get it ready for tuning.
As we are only receiving ACC - I had to leave my job to care for him, I cannot afford a mechanic to check the bike out, for my peace of mind. He has made a few mistakes that I picked up when chatting with him of his accomplishments, so I really would like to know if there is any keen mechanic, who enjoys older bike maintenance, who would donate their time to go over the bike with my husband.
In return, I can offer a nice lunch and a great chat with my husband, who is still so keen to get back on his bike again when his leg is healed.

We live 12km out of Waiuku and the kind person would have to come to our home. It is a lovely ride out to our place and I am sure the reward of helping a fellow biker get back in the saddle would be a buzz too.

I am not a quailifed bike Mechanic, but am pretty gud with that stuff, live at Pukekohe, and have a access to Bike mechanics if we get stuck (my second home is a local bike shop)

I'll contact someone who will be more than qualified to help...and hopefully he does...
