Hiya. Looking at a couple of 2nd hand seats. One is off a 2002 FXD. Other is from a 2006 FXDL. Anyone know for sure if either of these will fit a 2006 FXDC?

The '02 seat won't fit the '06 bike as the Dyna seats changed in '04 and again in '06 - the '02 will only fit models made between '96 and '03.

I'm pretty sure all Dyna seats are interchangeable otherwise, so any seat made for a Dyna between '06 and today should fit the bike you're looking at.

Better having the parts catalogue in front of you than searching the web. :msn-wink:

Thanks mate. I thought they changed in 06. Been looking through catalogues but so many different ones. I don't know if they are HD seats. Just says the bikes they came off. Anyway the one off the FXDL sounds like it could be a goer. Gotta decide on the bike first. Having look at one today. Pm u later.

Bugger. Just realised I put the wrong info. The FXDL seat is actually 2008. But I don't think seats have changed again since 2006??

Yes, I have. Sealed the deal this morning but still waiting for damn insurance money. Will put pics up as soon as I get her.

At RT?? Nah, I wish. But mine will be just as nice by the time I've had a play with it. Got a mate that's gonna do a custom paint job for me.

Well, you've got to personalise them haven't you. I've plans for my 'plain jane' black Fat Bob. Just waiting for Versatile to build my new garage so I can get into it.
