I saw in the latest Bike Rider mag this bike that blew my mind. Really low and long, I was amazed and inspired. It was nicknamed the "White Elephant". It's been riding around with the Black Thunder ZX-14.

I'm having trouble finding photos of it on the net. Anyone have any they can attach to this thread or can link me in the right direction?

shit hot that he wants to go faster still!

On a naked hayabusa!!!! - lol. Imagine the speed he could get to with a bit of a fairing.

Whoa, he went to the sprints?! Will he be there next time? Must go, especially if that bike is there.

I've got to get in on this. Might be having a garage sale shortly.

Na, he had a drag one with race fairing etc just scraping the ground.
I'm guessing that this one is the next incarnation built to be lower and more aerodynamic, I'm also guessing that it may have a fairing or shell that goes on for full runs? Maybe its not finished yet?

This is all just speculation.

The sprints always has fast and interesting bikes.

... the Black Thunder ZX-14.

Now that's a cool bike. Seen it on the motorway on its trailer, etc. Haven't seen it in action.

But does anyone else think that if the owner was really serious about breaking records on it, he'd find a rider about 20 years younger and 40kg lighter than himself?

I thought the same thing when I saw him in this months BRM, but wondered whether 20Kgs would make a difference and whether a puny could handle a bike like that at speed.

It looks like it's designed so that it's really low giving it a small profile. Why then are the footpegs in a standard position, forcing the rider to be sitting up?

Like our 400's.

Or he could loose a bit of weight himself.

Otherwise the challenge could be to get a man of his stature to do those speeds.

An issue they haven't dealt with yet being a work in progress?

Fairy Nuff then.
It's always good to see people doing stuff out of the ordinary, trying to improve things, break records, invent new stuff, just generally being creative. :niceone:
