:sick:CBR250RR 1991 MC22
Stolen out of my garage on Tuesday 14 july 09, along with a SUOMY helmet and couple of other bits. Ignition barel broke, found the plastic on the ground.
Bike is in pretty mint cond, was for sale on trademe, so i didnt bother getting insurance.
Has a BEETJAPAN.CO aftermarket exhaust and its pretty loud.
Im prepared to give a reward of up to $1000 depending on the condition when recovered to anyone with info that leads to recovery

Judging by the pictures, I'd guess the license plate to be 66WSF.

Anyone starting to think that NZ should look into ANPR cameras? Fuck they would be handy.
In saying that, I'm sure the public could do something similar with a camera and some computer software.

While on topic of theft. How do most bikes get stolen? Do they just get others to help and lift it or do they just try to hot-wire these things?
Also you should throw in an extra $500 for anyone who finds the theaf and breaks their legs.

I'd be interested to know that as well, my bike just lives outside in the carport, I've got 2 metres of oxford chain holding the back wheel and the frame to the floor though.

If you get them (sadly, unlikely I know) I would suggest piano wire round the testicles, then tow them down the road. Death's too good for them.

yea, sadly chances finding it are very slim, and the police are not gona do much, but when it comes to pulling you over, they are all over you.

Did you have anybody from trademe ask for your address to come see the bike, then didn't show up?

thats exactly what happend, had a chick first, private no., she got the address, said shed come round with the money. didnt show up or didnt even text. Than on the sunday, 2 days before it got stolen, guy calls me up from private no. too, asking me dumb questions like have i had anione on the back, and how many km its on (it sais it on the auction) and askd what time i finish work, so its definetly them

File a report with the police and mention this. If they are going to follow anything up this might be your best bet.

yea it was definetly targeted for the CBR, i think they would have gone in the garage and seen the R6 than, but were there fro the cbr, wouldnt be able to take the r6 anyway, its got a imobilizer, would have to roll it in a van,
I did tell the police about the private no. people calling me, and i called vodafone and they said they can trace the numbers but relise them only to police, but still i dont think they can be bothered following this up, but ill keep bugging them.
It would be good if i got a hold of those numbers

Alternatively, they didnt take the R6 because they didnt know it would be there... and weren't prepared to take it @ that time

?why bother taking a bike? you can't re-register it cause the vin no would show up, and the licence plate would be put as stolen?

There are ppl on here who work for vodafone. Start a thread in Rant & Rave asking and you should get a reply soon.
Really hate shit like this! Probably timely to visit the "what to do to stop bike thefts" again thread.
Good Luck!!

Dude, the most likely time a bike is going to get lifted or damaged is when it's for sale. Hope you'll remember that one next time.
