Heres the thing, As some of you will have seen I'm trying to sell my 750 to buy Choppas 1000 superbike he has for sale so I can possibly do the Nationals. Now the bike isnt selling so I have been thinking! I'm not concerned about winning and the 750 is eligable for Superbike so all I need to be concerned about is qualifing within the 115%(is that right) if so the top guys will be doing 1:05's at Manfield(65sec) so is my maths correct in saying 115% would be 1:14's (74sec)if so I think I'll give it a go on the 750, and because it is a 2006 there are more freedoms than 2007 on bikes. Does this all sound...well..sound!

mnz never inforced the 115% rule because they never had enough bikes so your safe if you ride superbikes, there has to be ten entries to make a nz champs , they will enjoy recieving your entry....
have fun and enjoy

Yeah man, get out there on the 750. The bike is well capable of that time and way less.

Go for gold.

Well, Ken.... my thoughts.
Your forks will be okay now you've done the rebound mod... they won't even need respringing (they have 1.00kg/mm as stock)
Fork out for either a new shock, or get your one revalved and sprung for you
Chuck a decent steering damper on

and away you go! (could get a power commander as well)

You could do it on a reasonable budget

Buy both the TTX and forks off that guy on TM, that'd turn your bike into something capable of doin 7's or 8's at Manners.

Women love a sale and the thought of a bargain.
TTX new = $2500
25mm cartridges = $2800+
Second hand forks = $800 at least

You'll spend $3500 on TM, thats means you've just saved $2600.
So infact you are now over $2600 better off than you were yesterday:yes:

Please note that this is only a males interpretation of how a womans mind works.....................................to only be used as a guide, as many men have been wrong when it comes to understanding the better sex.

What Tony said, Ken!
I've got FGK cartridges in my sem fiddy, just set up for road use.
They work bloody PRIMO!
Chuck a set of those at your sem fiddy, with appropriate valving, and you'll be sweet.

And I totally agree with Tony's logic.... that's the way it is :niceone:

Ha Ha you boys are terrible! You will get me right in the shit! But you make so much sense:sweatdrop CKT have done both forks and rear shock, hopefully I'll get to manfield this week for the practise day and I can start to see a pattern forming with lap times.

I've had a squirt on your bike haven't I ken? Second only for induction noise, to my thou!

That thing will be a real good bike to learn smooth consistant times.

You should piss 14's on that thing dude, I did 13's on my 96 srad (with stock front end) in the winter and have been told there is at least a second in the track between hot and cold temps. go hard and if your not keen then ill have a go if you want.

Yep thats the one Drew, I'm no Rossi but I did a 1:15.3 last practise day with the bike pretty much stock apart from the pipe and fairings, so I think I'll aim for 12's next, she has pretty good straight line speed.

You know me Kenny boy, why you wanting to spend more money your missus doesn't yet have?

You have the bike with pipe, shock and forks, now just buy tyres and track time.

Too many guys out here think that buying the 1000cc bike now and waiting until January is going to get them on the SBK podium.

The investment that will decrease your lap times the most (over what ypou already have) are: track time, track time and some more track time. Oh, and some racing too. Trackdays are one thing, racing is another.

Don't be a stranger, 'cos they spell danger!! And cool down that damned tea!!
