Frames

I have been looking for a frame for a Royal Enfield project,

I have a few options buy one , Bsa B33, RE Indian or make one

for the life of me I cant find a suitable frame ,,,

anyone know of one hidden? Uncle Bob has one lying around in the shed?

Does Uncle Bob live in Tokyo?

You will need a swing arm BSA frame,the rigid and plunger singles had no lower rails,the engine was a stressed member..The swingarm frame is the same for all models 350 to 650,the singles have a kink in the right lower tube for the oil pump.You need a duplex with enough length and height for a pre unit single.Sounds like you need a featherbed.

The Enfield is the same , no lower rails, and a featherbed has those orrible things hanging off the end , the Japs got it half right them thing the young fellas call suspension

I why they went and messed things up with springs ,,,dont get me started on plungers ,,, or even a sprung hub

I watch the auctions here and in NZ, and frames are few and far between, I might just have to make one

A7 or A10 plunger or rigid (all stamped A7) are duplex....but a bit short as the geabox was bolted to the engine.But so were Enfield too I think.?...?

I cant find one, Looks like I ll have to make one ( something I didnt want to do, Lazy !)

If any one knows of a frame !!!

One good thing about making one , I can do things my way and it doesnt damage take a old frame !
