View Full Version : People & Stupidity!

Well I feel like I may have got one up on someone today without them even knowing it...!

Stupid bitch in a 4WD on the motorway starts tailgating me on my way home today then she starts yelling and screaming at me for whatever reason so I change lanes and get the fuck away from her. Anyway, stupid bitch had a personalised numberplate that looked suspiciously like a company name. So when I got home I did some investigations... I just rang that company and confirmed that this vehicle is in fact registered to them and confirmed the make of vehicle and spelling of numberplate...

Oh what joy I am going to have popping in to see her on Monday! :bash:

On that note I have had several run-ins with people and stupidy on the road this week, is there a full moon or something?!?!

I really just want to ask what she was yelling at me and why. If I had have stopped for any reason she would have squashed me she was that close!

When I changed lanes she came right up next to me and started screaming. She had wound her window down but I couldnt hear her! It was obviously important as she was smacking her steering wheel while going all red in the face while she was screaming and pointing at me. She was physcho enough for me to filter through traffic travelling at the speed limit to get away from her. PHYSCHO obviously needs a root.

You are far too polite ... personally I have rang companies and "asked if they wish me to use their services ... as with staff as rude and abusive as the one that they employ. Sorry but since they are employed I would not be using them!"

I hope you get some answers babe, I'd love to ask some of them, in the cold light of day , Just what the hell they were thinking. Seriously some of the shit that happens out there is beyond me, what the hell is going on in their heads.

I always steer away from road rage incidents as you wisely did, I have to otherwise I'd be having two or three punch ups every journey.

Making fug ups is understandable, baaad but understandable but deliberately putting a motorcyclists life on the line by travelling inches from the rear wheel is equivalent to waiving a loaded gun in their face, seriously, what gives, are they actually mental or something. :weird:

I am ULTRA sensitive about the stupidity of other road users at the moment as someone close to me could have been killed by a careless driver not so long ago. They were lucky but it really makes you realise what can actually happen. We are very vulnerable on the road.

Funny thing is, is that when they were tailgating me I had assumed that they were male.

I hate 4wds with a vengence. Everyday I commute to the city from the North Shore and pass a queue of traffic about a kilomter long. Every second or third car is a 4wd, with only one person in it..... I Just don't understand why people drive them in the suburbs!!!!!!! its even funnier watching them trying to park in the shopping mall, a 3 point turn becomes a 5 point turn parking manoever.
Incidentally,.... what kind of bike do you ride?? If a 4wd is able to tailgate you then, I think its time for a bigger bike.

I ride an FXR150 as a commuter. I choose too, why?

It cost me less than $1000, warranted and registered
I can bucket race it
It costs me less than $20 to fill and that last's me 2 weeks to and from work
The train costs me $110 a month is unreliable

I hear what you are saying but I only want to invest in racing. Riding on the roa is dangerous and scary no matter what you ride so I ride the cheapest I can!

Im saving for an SV650. For the track...

17th July 2009, 19:04
sweet.. a small displacement bike is always going to be harrassed by cars and that evil friggin beast that is the menopausal housewife in the 4wd. I know, i've just finished up riding my 250 and got myself a Suzuki Gladius 650. Oh my god the psychological transition is just as much of an upgrade as the HP. I always felt aggrieved and intimidated on my nifty 250 but now.... I just roll on the throttle and watch them disappear in my mirror. Even a small burst of power is enough to get rid of them.
You will absolutely love the 650......:woohoo:

Ive ridden an FZR750, FZR400, SV650 and SV1000 and many other bikes. FOr commuting the lil FXR is actually better. I can filter through smaller spaces, hold a constant speed and not chew through the gas. Been there done that. There's a recession man, jump on the band wagon!

Better keep us informed as to what happens Str8...will be interesting to say the least...

Not long ago I emailed a firm about one of their drivers doing dorky things in his van. I got a reply that was pretty amazing. They thanked me for letting them know and promised to have a general talk to their drivers about how they were driving and about motorbikes in particular. I was amazed to say the least...

This was in complete contrast to a trucking firm I phoned about one of their trucks zooming up the wrong side of the road out on one of the local highways. All I got from them was "GRUK ICK" noises. I doubt they were about to do anything.

You hafta try though...

There is a massive danger area, filled with mud and potholes, which needs to be avoided.
Luckily most 4x4 owners can winch off of the parking meters in town, to avoid these areas. Bloody city councils putting footpaths in! How inconsiderate!:bash:

Your average car driver is lucky to SEE a motorcycle.

If they do see one, they don't know the difference in a VN1500 and a GN125, or care, and you won't be picked on just because you ride a small capacity machine.

If its like my moped, and struggles to cope with 70km/hr + traffic, then you are being picked on because you are slow, unlikely on an FX150.

Shit drivers are just shit drivers.

4WD, Hummer, or Smart ECO car, they are generally neither anti nor pro motorcycles, just indifferent.

SJ is doing the right thing confronting the moron behind the wheel, and showing great control and common sense by choosing the time and place herself, rather than being aggessive while vulnerable.

I wish I was as sensible !

I got phoned by the shop manager one day.The dickhead behind me rang the 0800 number and asked if I was on anything as I was speeding up,slowing down etc, nope I said but I just gone through 3km of roadworks at 30km,when those in front of me were going 50km plus(and the cops pinged one haha),also there were 3 cars in front of me, I saw no reason to go from 90km to 130km to pass and be pinged for speeding etc, manager and another lady were pissing themselves over the complaint, saying yes sir will talk to the driver and repremand him for slow driving, only time my driving had been phoned in.

Actually last night when I was riding home at about 7:30pm there was a foolio with a personalised plate doing a bit of stupid passing etc, etc. I did think about *555 them when I got home but there's not a lot of point really.

Your tack is much better!

Edit: actually 1 of my friends was telling that a few weeks back on the MW her and dad (in his work van) witnessed a vehicle change lanes to a "gap" (not) in between 2 motorcyclists, the driver apparently clipped the rear wheel of the front rider!!! The rider managed to stay upright but apparently was all over the dumb-arsed driver. That would be terrifying! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had the skills to not be knocked off my bike.

Not sure if that's the case. A lot of car drivers are constantly pissed off, by the bike riders that duck and weave, and generally make c#*ts of themselves through traffic.

There's no excuse for them tail gaiting, or otherwise endangering people, but those who have nothing to do with bikers, tend to view us all the same.

I was going up the Southern motorway yesterday.Usual thing - the wankers were all in the right lane doing 80 km/hr.I'm in the left lane doing 105.
As I approach a slower car in the left lane,I indicate to move right, slow and match speed with the right lane traffic, adjacent to a three car long gap.
I wait another five seconds (a total of more than 15 ) so that there is now doubt about my intentions.
Of course the driver of the car to the rear of the gap has revealed himself to be a c*nt and has accelerated to close the gap.
I change lanes - he tries to press the point and just about drives up the WRB before he backs off.
