Theres a photo somewhere of me sitting on the Muff Road sign when we went south racing in '87.
Gutted that theyre changing it. Hopefully to something a bit more up to date, like Snatch Rd.

We did a piss trip for 10 days around South Island back in 1984,went passed a sign on West Coast,all of a sudden brakes lock on,driver reversed beside a sign saying Barrytown,Barry the driver pinched it,still had it years later.

It would be worth the price of a house just to have all your mail directed to 69 Muff Street. I think I will add it to my list of things to buy when I become a multi-millionaire.

I can understand the hassle of having your street sign go missing though so no surprise the locals have had enough.

When I was younger, my flatmates and I were walking home from a night on the town. As we got to our street we stole our street sign for fun, took it home and put it above the fireplace.

A few days later we ordered pizza. After waiting 1.5 hrs we rang the pizza place back asking where our pizza was. They said the guy couldn't find our street so came back ... so it wasn't so funny after all :(
