hi - i just got a hornet 600 on friday - I already ran out of petrol once because the guy I bought it off had left it on reserve... jeeze that was fun!

anyways I now have it on the "on" so if I run out again i can at least crawl along - but roughly how far ? ( I suppose I would be quite restrained at that point?)

or should I just keep filling it up every few days?

the first few days tho were great fun - screaming away from the lights - but I'm now aiming for a more steady pace - no need to hit 70k in first gear every time

what kind of range can I get from the tank - sensible driving?

is there an after market fuel gauge I can get? take the guess work out?

thanks!

Long enough to lull you into a false sense of security, yet short enough to not reach the next gas station.

If you take a look in the manual, it will tell you just how many litres you get on reserve.

I have not ever run out however have had around 20km on reserve doing a steady 120kph.

I don't know how far it would have gone before stopping and I would prefer not to have to find out :)

It should have around 4 litres in reserve, so you should be able to get at least 50k's out of it before having to push......
