Just got my renewal notice today. I have no issue with the broker, in fact they are highly recommended on this website and I believe it has nothing to do with them. So I am not moanng about them per se.
However, despite no claims, my premium for a bike insured for $8,500 has gone from $319 last year to $426 this year.
Has this happened to you, and is it an industry trend? I would have though that the premium would have stayed much the same rather than going up some 30 odd percent.
Any thoughts?
Insurance is for full comprehensive

Mine just went down at the beginning of the year for 3 or 5 years of no claims. I now have full, comprehensive insurance for both my motorbikes for under $29 a month.... :D

Just got the renewal for the Ducati Darmah....$ 120.00 for 10K and $ 50 excess.
I'm probably limited to 3000kms a year....but hey thats a lot a 30 year old Italian bike.

Having to pay over $400 a year for a scoot certainly takes the edge of things. The broker has offered to shop around for me so I'll guess I'll wait and see what develops

I think I know who you mean. Mine is with them as well and the premium went up from $700ish to $1000. That's with no claim whatsoever and depreciating bike.
Not too happy!
