Does anyone have one lying around they want to sell off. Alternatively any ideas on where to get one at a good price.
I see you can get a 17l, 28l and 43l. I'm assuming the 17 litre will be more than enough. Any comments and thoughts from those that have them.
Cheers.

There's one on Tardme at the moment for $450, or talk to Zerax, he might cut you a deal on his supertanker.

I brought a brand new 16L acerbis for my DRZ400e model off another kiwibiker for $450.00 I think, really nice well made tank. Had to move the mount for the horn but other than that it bolted straight on. I'm doing 13km per litre so range has now gone from 130km to around the 200km mark which is probably enough.
Cheers Woody.

Thanks Woody. I'm waiting to hear back from Zerax on his 28 litre and I saw the new one on TM from CycleSpot?
I spoke to the boys at Cyclespot and this is a 2001 tank. Which means it fits the 01 and 02 but not 03 onwards. That's the general comment on forums about the place.
So the deal is you need to take your bike in and check to see if the tank fits. They've also advertised the tank as new and according to Fraser it's been pulled off a bike. So it may be more a case of it looks pretty new.
I think 17 litres will do me. But if I end up with 28 I'm not bothered.

edit - okay, how did I post it twice? That's a rhetorical question.

I just fitted the mentioned 17litre black Safari tank bought off TM ex Cyclespot.
Offered them $400 which they accepted, not the idea colour but does match my black super moto wheels so bike now looking like a bumble bee!
The tank was easy to fit just tucked horn in btwn frame and top of engine.
Tank was in brand new condition, nil dirt or scatches, suspect someone bought tank for later model DRZ and it didn't fit.
Pleased I no longer have to carry extra gas can on those longer rides as have already lost one off my back rack, doh!
