I discovered my discs were leaning over.No wharp feel but pistons skewed and would not release from discs causing pad drag.

So order discs.
Bikebandit
Order two discs Rt and Lft.Both discs are the same size but pro lite ebc have hole patern for left and right so they look cool.
Disc left avaliable.....Disc right cross ordered from another bandit warehouse.
July 11th.Told 4 days will reach them and ups air service to NZ.Looks good for round three winter series.Awesume.
Last weekend get email.Rt disc not avaliable and fuck me they have sent the left and charged me $450 nzd including freight and import tax.WTF
How about giving me some options.
Contact them and tell them ill take a 2nd left disc and live with oposing holes.
F..k Me side ways ebc prolite original pattern discontinued but my left hand disc is on the way.
Order the replacement new generation ebc lite disc.2 week back order.Flip
Now i resurch the new ebc disc and find it has square edge rivits(only 6)and looks nothing like the 1st generation disc.
I give up.Order me a third disc to match number two.Next day and before disc 2 being sent and the friggin order system wont let me combine freight.

Check my visa statement incase i gotta eat instant noodles this week.
Now they got all the money i had plus some the bank owns and im lending held in limbo ,costing me interest while they send me a two week back order notice.

Anyone want a fzr1000 disc that fits aprilia ,tzrs and ducati (ebc prolite ).320mm.

The way im going ill be buying the company.
I just cant believe an online ordering system can list items as in stock that dont exist. They tell you an item has 2day dispatch and they dont have any.Now on back order.

All vented now.Feel much better.

I wonder if my spare R1 rims/discs would've bolted straight in....? Oops, pays not to ask those questions after the fact, eh?!

I got stung a similar way with some bike gear I ordered a while back. It was actually a pressie for my better half so it wasn't just a case of me fuggin' fuming, I had to fume on the inside.

Good luck mate, it'd be great to see the big fizzer up the front again.

Its just got worse.Got this today

One of the items in your order PU2UPUU is currently not available from the manufacturer and has been placed on backorder. This means that the item(s) is currently not in stock at any of the manufacturer's North American warehouses. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not given us an estimated arrival time for this item.

Item(s) on backorder:
Order Date/Time: 7/23/2009 1:22:58 AM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Item Name Quantity Total Price Status

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EBC Pro-Lite Rotor 1 $213.75 Back Order

Now i will end up with 2 discs mismatched and the third backordered.

Another email both 2nd and third disc factory backordered.Give them couple of days then cancel order and get them off someone that has stock.
Trouble is they hold your visa money and it takes seven days for it to come off hold.

And if they don't fit ya bike you can just return them.

I was thinking of ordering discs from overseas but i just can't trust them.

The internet shop front. No need to hold stock, there's not enough space in the basement spare room as it is anyway and I just love the way that their systems are geared for efficiently taking your money, but nothing else is efficient.

When I was looking for discs for a similar Yamaha the cheapest I could find was genuine Ducati parts which were available locally.

The metal gear discs are good on road but can wharp on track.
Im trying to get ebc prolite square edge rivit discs as they are 300grams lighter than standard discs and last longer when hammered.
There lots of places to get them but bikebandit are holding (uncharged) $1100 on my visa at this stage.
if I cancel order it comes back but takes 7days for the hold to drop off.
Will address it after i get back from racing but you can only contact them in the morning as they are closed when we get home from work.
I have two places lined up for other discs.
The disc that is coming will be here next week so i will confirm if it is left or rt disc them source a matching older stock item from another place that has that disc that I will still need.
The new generation ebc fit either side and is lighter(less rivits square edged)
If they cant supply by Monday ill use the new older stock and find the other side matching disc.

I ordered two parts from bike/assbandit

One part is less than 3 bucks, the other is a couple hundred.

They send the 3 dollar part which is the size and weight of an old 50 cent piece and hit me for 80 US dollars in shipping.

Then after the other part is on backorder for a couple weeks they drop it. Never for it to be found again.

one would assume buying two matching discs shouldnt be that hard.

Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups.

New development the first disc is in aus now.Funny thing is that the money for that disc has dropped off hold on visa 3 days ago and now isnt on hold or taken.According to bank the money is mine again and the disc is on its way to NZ(in flight now).Free disc.fingers crossed.
May cancel order and buy the rt matching disc from elsewear next week.ill wait to confirm the disc that arrives is a left as I dont trust their order system.there is a rt disc on fleebay for 129usd which is half retail so i will request if he would ship it.May end up with free disc and half price match.
im even considering two sets.
Replace my wets as well.

Cancelled the two orders....

The left hand disc arrived today and hasnt been charged. So still looks free.
i found a rt matching disc on fleebay.I couldnt buy it because no international freight so I got one of the guys on FZRForum to buy it for me and payed him.He is the same guy that sold me his yoshi headers so have delt with him before. The rt disc was only 129usd as it was old stock so thats half price(still new).So alls well that ends well.
Brand new disc set ebc prolite for $315.00 nzd including freight.
$1400 to buy here.
My shit dont stink no more and my wife can sleep again till dyno tune day.LOL

Update
Visa was charged. They also charged me import tax and duty even though it was below the $400 nzd gst limit.

Have sent then this.

Please note that I have had the worst online order experiance that I could imagine.I ordered a set of discs for my fzr1000 1989 bike.H41DTUN.Both discs were showing as avaliable stock.I was then informed that one disc was cross ordered and both would be sent at the same time.A week later i got an email to say one disc was not avaliable and the other had been sent.I am not sure what anyone thought I would do with only one of two discs. To top this off I was charged import tax and since there was only one disc the value dropped below the New Zealand customs limit for GST tax in our country so I would like to know where my money went to.
Please note that I got this site address from one of the four forum sites that I have been a long term member in.I would expect that service such as what i received would not help with bikebandits online sales as in this world being in a different country does not meen someone goes unheard.
Please advise me as to what you intend to do to change the way your company handles sending half an order in the future.I felt let down and spent a long period of time tracking a rt hand disc that will match.I can appreciate that EBC has changed the design of the prolite discs but I feel that I should have been offered an upgrade before being sent one disc only.

The guys at FZROnline are going to circulate through UK and US sites where the majority of Bumbandits business is if we dont get results.
A couple of years ago Bumbandit was boycotted by world wide biker forum and they sent free upgraded parts to get the botcott lifted. It sounds like the loss of business was significant.
The thing is that people start sharing bad service stories because it makes great forum material.

They have couple of days to respond.
Refer another arsebandit horror story below already.Every one loves sharing the rotton luck stories

Now I get a message about paying import tax twice when i claimed that with the reduced items the import tax was not required. The threshold was $400nzd.

I dont think they are very good at communication.

I hope after all that grief that you also ensured they were legal for pre 89 class seeing as brakes (discs and calipers) are classed as a major component (ie prolite EBC discs were available prior to the cut off....)

design is the same as old discs and not contour or petal or wave and they are same dimensions as stock. They are basically same disc as original etc.
Disc limitations are size specific and exclude wave, petal design.
calipers must remain stock.master open but excludes radial pull.
Disc material is stainless steel and not carbon which is excluded.

they dont want a bar of it so im spreeding the word.
they now claim the import tax was for any order that needs to be sorced outside the states , which means that any price that bikebandit quotes is customer is not what they intend to charge if the part was manufactured from outside usa.

This was there latest responce to my request for import duty charge of 70usd.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for writing in! The Origin of the parts that are manufactured outside of the US will require taxes and duties. This does not apply to items manufactured within the US. Please email us back if you have any questions or concerns.

This is the short story of bike bandit and how they let me down. Please forward this to other forums to warn others of how they treat their customers.

Guys a recently ordered two front discs for my bike from bike bandit.
they were ebc prolite brand and I ordered a lt and rt to get new matching set.
Both discs were showing as stock items.
Next i got an email saying one cross ordered and would ship both together when it arrives.
Next week i get an email saying one disc shipped and the other cancelled and not avalible.
I got no notification that one could not be sent but they shipped the other anyway.
Next gripe is they charged me import tax and duty on the disc even though it was below the New Zealand import tax duty limit of $400 NZD
I had accepted the tax section on the order because having ordered two discs it would have been over the $400.
When this first happened I got on their chat line to try resolve the issue and just kept getting told the disc is not avalible.

I dont know what they expect me to do with one disc.
They refuse to refund the tax amount of $60 usd

be warned that bikebandit have not treated me fairly and have done nothing to resolve the problems that i had and would prefer to steer around the dirrect questions that i have sent them.

Please guys forward this to other forums before other overseas victims are caught out by this company.
