I'll probably pick one up in a few months. Look cool and supposedly up to 27km a litre. Give it a ride before you decide...

My 250R is awesome, but I'm still gonna look at a 600cc when I can. My missus will inherit the baby Ninja. It just is a little lacking in the grunt department, which is why it's good for learning on and expected from a 250cc engine. I've got green and a mate had blue. Both looked wicked as

hey guys i ride a blue one and they are a sweet bike to learn on, just look at getting the things on the side for if you drop it because chances are you will end up dropping it, its not as fast as a 600 obviously but defiantly a good bike to learn on, ive had no problems with mine and have been riding with 1100s etc, except when they throttle it they leave me behind for a min or two but you dont need to be going that fast lol, it can still sit nicely on 120 - 125 for cruising and can go a bit faster if you really want, not that i am condoning speeding on the road, save that for the track,
but defiantly a good nice bike,
in saying that im looking to upgrade to either a Yamaha R6 or Ninja ZX6
just waiting to take em for a test ride,
hope this info helps.

They're awesome value for money for a first bike. They look pretty cool, fuel economy is the shit, and you can actually make one go pretty fast with some skilled riding... which is exactly what you'll have after riding one for 6 - 12 months. Pick one up second hand for 6 - 6.5k and I promise you wont regret it.

Go with the 250R ninja, you won't regret it and worth the asking price too which is more than I can say for a lot of second hand 250's.
