But then i found this
Cheap racing yoshi pipe.

Its a 4 into 1 and takes out the cat. I understand its going to be loud. But does anyone know how loud? Im wondering if i'll get away with having it on my bike which i use as a daily commuter and the odd blast.
Cheers for your input guys

The Yoshi Japan one is the one to go for.
I had one like it on my K6 1000.
Not TOO noisy at lower revs/town speeds
Sound just the shiz with a bit of mumbo on

Well it looks like it's on a road registered bike now, and as most race tracks have noise limits these days I doubt whether it will be that loud. Plus you could always repack it with good packing like Silent Sport or steel wool.
Pretty sure I've seen other road bikes running that system, hopefully someone here has got one and can give you the word from the horses mouth. :)
Pay to ask the guy if he's had issues with WOF's.

How not TOO noisy is it? Im really wanting to know if im going to get unwanted attention at say anything under 6000rpm.

Yeah ive asked him a question if its too loud for a road bike. As its race orientated im thinking that sound restricting wasn't really a bit factor in making the pipe. I have seen a couple on road bikes before. But theres some crazy mofos out there that dont care how loud their bikes are lol.
And would it be essential to get a power commander or something similar straight away (as taking out the cat), or can it be avoided for a few weeks without damage etc?

My K6 got a WoF with it.
They sound good at lower rpm... not too raspy
Edit: UKSteve from KB owns my K6 1000... ask him

Oh ok,
The bikes rated at 96db at 6000rpm stock, and i know jardine is rated at 106db at 6000rpm which is about 3 times as loud as 96db (going on the theory that every 6db is twice as loud).
Really hoping someone on here has the same set up so i can get a feel for what i may be getting into.

That's a tough decision.
I'm looking at exhausts myself. There are so many players in this market now and the technology keeps advancing.
I am going to go with a 'removable baffles' model so that I can choose when to make some serious noise.

I've seen a figure of 105dB mentioned for the Yoshi
My K6 750 is 102dB with it's stock muffler

Theoretically. The yoshi muffler would have the same effect as the cats on the jardines? As the jardines are just a straight pipe really.
Just going through ideas here.

Its a 4 into 1 and takes out the cat.
There are a few of the Moto GP inspired pipes being made now - they appear to rely on the cat doing the muffling and the outlets are mainly decoration. Jardine at least offer inserts to shut them up more. At US$250 plus shipping - its a fair bit of coin for a couple of piddly cones....
Yoshi - yep it will have a bit of noise to it as it's a stubby can at 12 inches - most single street cans are about 16. A muffler shop will be able to make you up a outlet end reducer to cut down some of the bark if required. Check the Yoshi website - they may list a db reading for this pipe.

You just need to be careful when taking out the cat as the electronic management system and setup is desugned to work with it.
The TuneBoy they use to set up the new exhaust will have a list of fully supported exhausts. Your service department are the best to talk to about this.
Don't buy a exhaust that your bike's system doesn't fully support.

I reckon they will both sound nice. Buy the one that gives ya a hardon, I reckon the jardines are bitching. They make the most badass pipes for the 675 daytona.
